What do you call the final vacant apartment in the apartment complex?

    Last, but not leased.

Took the MIL out birding because that's what she likes to do....

These people are strange... All of these are talking about and taking photos of a baby grackle... Quit possibly one of the most useless and annoying birds.

Meanwhile I'm looking across at.mt truck thinking I really should try to get rid of that chrome lol.

I am curious how it would go if I started randomly talking about birds being phonies and drones

You can't do it facetiously or apologetically. You have to convey a conviction that what you're saying is the full truth, and you have receipts. Go all in or don't go.

I agree. There are thousands of hobbies that I don’t enjoy but recognize for their value/enjoyment. Birding is not one of them. Not even a little.

I like 'birding' if I'm sitting outside anyway - smoking a cigar or fishing from a shore or pier. There's a great app called Merlin Bird ID that will help you identify birds common to your area based on their song or how they look. It's a mildly interesting way to pass some time or spark conversation.

But specifically going to look at birds with a pith helmet, cargo shorts, white New Balance shoes, and binoculars big enough to merit the full harness - - definitely not something I'll ever be doing.

It's hard to see birds at night; unless you're into bats and owls....

    So, I stargaze instead...

In case anyone was wondering

If you can get away from light pollution stargazing is absolutely fantastic. Also, when I worked nights, besides stargazing I would go out in the middle of the night with a headlamp and I would actually come across quite a bit of wildlife.

Yuhp... low level red headlamps are the best. I can usually pick up a set of eyes before I see the actual animal.

I have one of these for hand carrying when I'm going to be out and about in the woods, etc... Over 1/2 mile of illumination, plus it comes w/red and green filters, so same concept w/the red; and the green filter lights EVERYTHING up

As much as you are out and about at night, I'd grab one of these... you won't be disappointed!!!!

Usually when I'm sitting fishing the damn birds I see end up being ducks that are loud, annoying, and almost swim over my line. This is usually when my wife reminds me no, you can't shoot them and that if I did the nice people also at the lake wouldn't like it.

You can't shoot them, but if you hook them with a lure and drag them on shore, you might be able to get them dispatched and plucked before anyone notices.

Since when do you care about what other people like? I'd say just start popping off on those annoying water fowl if they're ruining your day at the lake.

Good point. I could also get a suppressed .22 pistol, nobody would notice.

    I wil...

Is this a question you've had since the whole sushi blowout happened?

I know it's been awhile for you, but I gotta tell you if your woman smells fishy that's not a woman you want to be with. Kinda like sushi. If it smells fishy, you shouldn't be eating it...

Mother nature just pulled a fast one on me. A tiny little pine sapling at one point had the top bend over and then get frozen into the ice so it made a nice little loop. Said loop caught on my boot and I went down lol

Just wait till you hit 40+ then you can refer to fully grown adults as "kids"...

I have interacted with people in their 20's and 30's and experienced their idiotic naivety and have said to myself...they are just kids...
