    Hi guys,

Im finally going to try and sort out the lack of mounting points in my tundra. Is the rail pictured below a bed rail system that i can buy mounting point attachments for? Or is it just the support for the tonneau cover?

If it is a bed rail system, where and how can i buy attachment points that are compatible?

    Thanks

Yep, that's the rails. Scamazon has a vast selection of mounting points, tie downs, anchors, and all kinda cool stuff to go in there.
If you are interested I can dig around and try to find my factory ones, theyre yours if ya want em, like i said, I'm not even sure where I put them. Lol

I just picked up a 2016 DC, and it doesn't have the rails installed. Before I buy a set, I was wondering if anybody here used a different setup...

I bought mine from the Toyota dealership. I put them on my 2014 DC myself. I had trouble with the head stripping out on me on some of the screws. So I drilled some small holes and added some extra screws.

My truck has a spray in liner, so I am going to take a look to see if the holes are exposed. I also have a tonneau cover. Is there an issue with the rails fitting with a tonneau?

My tundra came with a tri-fold and no rails. I put the rails on with no interference. When I got my bed rack I had to get a different tonneau cover (a roll up). No problems with that one either.

Couple years back i sold a hard tonneau cover to an HVAC guy. He had strut channel tracks in place of the oem bed rails and was going to attach the cover to that.

    None….so far
Bottom rail is the stock rail, you can run the Toyota cleats in it.

Shouldnt be an issue but, i guess it depends on what tonneau you have. The bed rail has small aluminum blocks that slide along the rail and your tonneau would fasten to that.

Exactly how mine is set up.
When ordering my cover, the sites actually ask if you have the bed rails.
It was a few more steps, but my cover brackets use the rail.
