I am swapping my rear diff this weekend it is an open diff and I’m putting in a lsd, i went to my local auto parts store and they don’t have a lot of options for diff oil
I saw someone say they used Lucas 80w-90 does that oil have the lsd additive already or should I add some?

Lucas 80w-90 does the trick. I've tried Mobil1 synthetic 75w-90 WITH the LSD additive, but still had chatter. The Lucas does NOT have LSD additive, yet it performs without chatter. Don't try to understand why...just do it!

I made the same mistake. Only, even with M1 and damn near a whole bottle of additive, I still had a little chatter.

Purged it, blasted in some Lucas 80w-90, zero chatter ever since. No additive. No bullshit. It just works.

    Preach to the heavens!

The only one I didn’t have problems with was redline and maybe some additive.

I've seen several reports Valvoline's Flexfill Advanced synthetic bags work. And Amsoil Severe Gear. But honestly, I like Lucas products, and I'm cool with dino juice, so I won't be putting anything in else in my LSD rear.

I got burned once. Not interested in wasting money. Just grateful I reached out the M1's support team, and they were kind enough to refund me for brand new oil I had to dump out.

I used Motul 90PA LSD oil. No problems, but had to order. Not going to find it in any stores.
