    Yeah I still find that ridiculous. Why don't they just put a chain there? Seems like a dumb engineering decision to me but what do I know?

    Seems like there is a big problem with engineering blunders across the board of ALL auto makes/models.

    You got that right! These companies have been at this for a long time now. You know as well as I that all of them could build a vehicle that would last for a very long time. Instead I feel they build them to break, or only last a little past the warranty with no issues, and they build them to be serviced by the dealers on purpose. For the price these vehicles are we should demand more. Unfortunately this will not change because even though the quality has gone way down and prices have sky rocketed, they still sell every single truck they make.

    Someone mentioned the possibility of these major failures across ALL makes as pertaining to a push for EV only.

    Looks like fresh paint = could be the reason.

    Carfax may have the answer.
