That's a good sale. But I'm saving for a trans rebuild and another engine...

Same. Not my jam. Not anymore. U less they made a full-size two door bronco. Then I might make a bad decision on purpose. But even that is a BIG maybe…

    Well shit.

This was just north of 900 mles on Kirkland 0-20 full syn after the install & drive to L.A. & back.

New oil has no visible oddness, oil level is not higher than it should be, coolant is where it was when finished, has no oddness, no smell other than oil.

Can this be from 6 months sitting in an open junk yard, no hood, radiator ripped off, fender ripped off, etc?

Hmmm.. that is odd. Are you opposed to dumping that oil and simply changing the oil and filter? I’d honestly do that once, maybe twice, just to get rid of any possibility of residual contamination from the swap. Then drive it another 1000 miles and send in a sample. Oil is cheap compared to a motor, IMO.

I have 20 quarts of Kirkland & about 10 filters, I'll be dumping the oil & filter in the morning, it's 98 right now.

Nope, no break found unless you figure getting this report & draining the oil might be a break.

Can't know how screwed you are if you don't check :D

I wouldn't sweat it or over think it until you have repeatable results. If the engine feels like it's running fine and fluids look fine, don't stress.

Oil & filter draining, it's taking a long time to stop streaming, oil looks & smells fine, feeling like I should get it tested too but I suppose waiting 1k & changing it again makes more sense, I'll be taking the BMW motor to Ca Saturday or next weekend so the 1k will be done pretty fast. (750 mile round trip).

    I have 1.5 q left in 5 gallon jug #2 & the dipstick says I'm 1/2 low. (I put in 8 & it showed I had almost nothing on the dipstick so I added 1/2 a quart).

    That's never happened before.

Sounds right to me, as I recall it usually takes just over 8 quarts. Either two gallon jugs isn't enough, or two 5qt jugs leaves an annoyingly small amount left.

I let it drip over an hour until almost nothing was coming out, Does the Jowett add anything? I'm used to being just over on 8.5. I'm letting it sit a while & I'll check it & add the 1/2 if it's still showing 1/2 low.

Hour later, still 1/2 low, added slightly over 1/2 as it's hard to judge on the 5 quart bottles.

Hopefully the next sample is normal

You need to add a remote filter and engine oil cooler. That way it's an easy 10 quart fill...

Nice! My mom was married to a gasser spent all his time building and racing. She shakes her head everything I'm working on the truck.
