I have a 2008 SR5 Dc, Play current manual rear view mirror glasses starting to crumble away and I was looking to replace it with the auto dimming one. Does anyone know if the 08 double cab SR5 came pre-wired above the upper console for the auto dimming mirror?

    Welcome to the forum.

If you do, it should look like this.
I would find it and verify how many pins the connector has before buying one.
Either remove the overhead console or feel up behind the headliner.

It would need these wires for your dimming.
The white wire would also power the garage door opener if applicable.

Unfortunately, that mirror OEM is almost $1K.:eek2:
Hopefully you can find a cheaper used or aftermarket part.

There are several on eBay, just make sure your connectors match.
Some of them have 12 and 14 pin connectors.

    Good luck..

Turns out the wiring was in the center roof console and I was able to get an OEM mirror from a junkyard here for $70. Everything plugged right up and started working thank you both for all your help and information.

    That is awesome..
    Glad you figured it out..
I would miss my dimming feature and I use the garage door opener every day.
