Sitting in a meeting with two customers and this “Lead” has been rambling about himself for nearly 15 min.

Dude…when the customer has been mono-tone “yeah” and “huh” over and over again it is time to stfu.

 

We had time to kill this weekend at work so we watched the General Manager's quarterly meeting online.

It's disgusting how much people word vomit trying to get air time.

It's ironic that *they're trying to climb the corporate ladder while on their knees.

 

I want to extend a sincere FU, I mean THANK YOU, to all those that participated in the conversation the other day about a certain hoofed mammal on a raised pedestal. Apparently it left an indelible stain on the brain.

Listening to the '80's on 8 on XM for the drive home and the Police classic "Don't Stand So Close to Me" comes on. I'm cranking up the intro with that long extended bass synth note and then Copeland's amazing as always stick work. Sting gets all the way through the first verse and we get to the chorus.... and all I can hear is "Goats stand so close to me." I actually started singing along.

Oh yeah, I was catching up this morning and forgot about the helicopter parent thing. There was an analogy from someone about a helicopter and topless etc... you get the point.

It reminded me of the helicopter alarm clock.
It's the absolute best way to get woken up. You're getting hit in the face which in itself is an absolutely horrible way to wake up until you realize what is actually hitting you in the face. Also , known as the boobie alarm clock.

Just want to give a shout out to my coworker who apparently walks around the office with her laptop open, balancing it on her hands while talking on Teams without a headset.

 

A closed office, not shared? Or out amongst everyone? (THE office, not HER office.)
Why do people feel the need to share so much? Is it cluelessness or is it like look at me I'm busy working!
I think we've already had the conversation about bathroom talkers...carrying on an entire conversation while dropping a deuce.
Seriously, WTF is wrong with some people.

 

The office... We're all in cubicles. I think it's just cluelessness; she doesn't come across as the sharpest knife in the drawer. The scary part is that all her teammates say she's the smartest on in their department.

I'm pretty much alone from the time I punch in to the time I punch out.

Some days, the only person I speak to is the lady at CEFCO when I buy my breakfast biscuit in Mt Pleasant, Texas..

 

Yeah, the Marrakesh Jacket is all I have from them. I'm not out riding in monsoons or super cold stuff, so mesh is my preferred.

Though, my one actual trip on the ST it rained the whole first day and the jacket was still warm. I was wet under it but it was warm enough and my heated grips saw me through.

 

My favorite days in the office are when my coworkers stay home.

Sat next to coworker today that I barely know. Took the opportunity to asked him where he lived in relation to the offsite location of our customer meeting. He mentioned the town, which is known for being more blue collar than most the region. Picture quads on the road, lifted dually's running 24's, lots of bars with deep fried food...etc.

I say “Great area” and was about to make a compliment about a recent experience I had down there. He cut me off with “Yeah, everyone owns a truck”. This comment in my region usually means "I'm virtue signaling I have an electric vehicle and vote for..."...you know the rest.

Oh ok…. So I ask “you got yours?”

He smirks “Yeah, a Lightning”.

I had to stifle a laugh so bad I nearly blew a snot bubble. Like he's flipping a middle finger to the entire town by owning an electric truck. I asked about the range and he stumbled thru a "I didn't get the long range package" and then got excited about the frunk. I clapped along like a good monkey to reassure him he's in a safe area.

He finishes with "You didn't see it? It's the only truck out front".

It might be...cuz we're not supposed to park out front. If you'd parked on the side of the building, you'd have seen my truck. And I know this cuz I arrived and started working an hour before you.

Never liked or even wanted to coal-roll someone before... buuuuuuuut
