Not so loud! I don’t let him read this forum, so he’s not aware of how things work East of the mountains.

Nah, you didn’t miss anything. That was the first pic on the topic. Had a three hour trip last night so gave him a CBD treat to chill out.

I wanted to share some good news. As of my last blood test results, my kidney function improved from 12% to 19%.

The improvement in kidney function was enough to move me from stage 5(final stage) kidney failure to stage 4 kidney failure which means I don't need dialysis!

That's definitely good news! Does that improve your ability to get a donor kidney?

The doc only brought up getting on the donor list if I was actively getting dialysis treatments. Thankfully, I have improved to a stage where I don't need a donor kidney. As best as we can tell, my kidney function can continue to improve.

I feel much better overall. More energy and generally healthier.

No blackouts from coughing on the shift I just wrapped up, and only one bad enough to trigger being lightheaded/dizzy. I am pleased. Hoping to kick this crud by the time I get to days off.

Whatever this forum told me to do

    Exactly this

I’ve typed some worthy dissertations, only to delete it. For the EXACT reasons you state

the rub…I’m not trying to change any one’s opinion

    I couldn’t GAF.

However, I sometimes genuinely want to know why one think/do the way one does

    I’m genuinely inquisitive

only to be met with defensive sissy-ass juvenile flak

I bet it’s 1in 10 conversations that educate both sides

The UAW discussion was a good example

    The EPA one ….was not

    I just traveled thru hell

    1. I hate a delightful dinner at Popeyes chicken

    2. The wife had the formals painted….oil base gloss trim

The Popeyes sat wrong and I felt it go thru every inch of my intestines

the stench of the oil base paint compounded each and every effect of the Popeyes onslaught

so to relieve one of the ills

I slept in the garage gym

    I am now 100%

    Dynamic squat day after lunch

I sincerely hope, for my sons sake, I don’t have a gaseous episode

Having a strong opinion these days is quite a skill

most folks just get in lockstep

pluralistic ignorance is a real thing

    And, I am now learning:

I am wayyyyy more tolerant than the people that call themselves tolerant.

My uncle drove a bus for nearly 40 years before he died. When I die, I want it to be peacefully in my sleep like him. Not in abject terror like the passengers on his bus.

    yes!

it's the low competence factor I was trying to gently avoid....even though most of the characters involved suffer from it.

Am I saying everyone is stupid?

    yes.

I have just stopped caring about other’s opinions. No matter how I try to frame a topic or guide a conversation it turns into a one sided baby rant. So I don’t even engage anymore. I don’t ask.

The art of conversation, dialog and respecting other’s opinions is long gone. If someone asks a question, the question isn’t “what was asked”. It is actually a virtue-signal test and the question is do you agree with their opinion.

Okay computer wizards this is a question for you. I am trying to place an order with Fred Anderson while the 25% sale applies. It will not permit me to insert a payment card. Seems like I have had this problem previously but cannot remember the fix (old age). Help me please.
