I told Juan I need my truck back by Wednesday. Apart from any unforseen catastrophic failures, I intended to be at your gate by sunrise Thursday with U bolts, AALs, center pins, maybe 35's in the bed or on the truck.

Might bring my sawzall and angle grinder.

    Question incoming:
I’ve been getting a belt-screech upon startup that lasts only a couple seconds. Have yet to figure out where it’s coming from.
Today, just after the screechy startup, I put a load on the electrical system (ARB dual compressor) and the screech came back, a bit weaker and more of a chatter, and stayed consistent until I shut off the compressor. My guess is -alternator pulley bearing?
    Thoughts?

I’d remove the serp belt and spin the pulleys. Alternator would be logical, I’d want to check all pulleys for the hell of it.

You should hear my power steering pump when it gets below 45*. I've been saying I'll wait till it warms up to fix it, but then it stops screeching and I'm like

Ha, not this guy. That's too much money for my pocket to handle. Plus, I'm not really a BMW fan.

By "chlorine bombed" I'm guessing you used one of the Biocide Cl02 products like Auto Shocker. I've used their Room Shocker product on several occasions and was impressed with the results. YMMV

It was auto shocker that I used. It is seriously a great product. This was just a lot, and I mean a lot, of stagnant cigarette smoke. As you can tell from how my blower motor looked my trucks PO must have been a 2 pack a day in that thing.

That’s the plan. I just recently replaced the tensioner pulley, so there goes the ‘best case scenario’. TBH I don’t really get how the electrical load would have a direct impact on the belt chirp, whether it be the alternator, or any other pulley. When the output from the alternator is higher, does the pulley have more resistance/rotational drag? Just curiosity at this point. I know what needs to be done.
