    I canceled plans to to up to Aurora. Next weekend will be quite nice here and up your way. Getting a storm door installed tomorrow morning. Going to set up more trail cams today.     After I put up the trail cams, I headed south to San Luis hung a right on hwy 142 that runs west to Manassa. Was out that way the other day lookie looing at the area. Manny got to see several of the famous Wild Horse Mesa wild horses. 20 or so. Bloodline dates to De Varga's incursion to the San Luis Valley. De Varga's presence there kept out French fur trappers. Things could have been much different! We then stopped at the Rio. Tarantula holes all over. This bridge is about 8 to 10 miles north of my new Rio property. We then headed towards Manassa. A couple miles up is the privately owned "Lick Skillet" Manassa turquoise mine. Rediscovered by I.P. King in 1890 something. Turns out the Puebla's had mined there almost a thousand years ago. Current owners aren't actively mining, but got all the grinding and polishing equipment. They're on Etsy. Bought a $25 polished cab. Manassa turquoise is highly sought after. New owners must have gotten some material to work up. I'll post a pic when I get that cab.
