When my truck was mostly stock, the rear Hellwig swaybar made a huge difference. The road to my fishing hole is where I noticed the most difference. 30mph area went to overtaking civics doing 50.

We’ve got fans at work that spin at 20k rpm and pull in a considerable amount of CFM. Too bad they’re only 3” wide and cost mucho $$$. Super high quality though for those expensive electronic/RF assemblies.

For me it was an upgrade.. got better throttle response and a lil horsepower and torque maybe not much but more than I had... Spinning that big helicopter blade put a strain on it.

All the new trucks come stock with electric fans? And I'm not saying it will work for everyone or every truck.. of course I do a lot of research before I make a decision, you just got to know what your doing and what products to use. For me I did this on a s10 where I seen the biggest difference and then my tundra where I noticed a little difference especially with throttle body response and torque... But most of all!!! The gas.. omg the gas.. gas been amazing.

Removed the bed rail caps w/out destroying anything. Its a simple technique but requires moderate force as well. Started at back end as described by a few peeps here [@shifty, of course] and caps' retainer nipples still intact.
    Tomorrow:

I bought this one with that already on there that's one thing I didn't do but I never really thought about that... Maybe I can run an extension down in the fender well or behind the bumper.

Yes. Not all the time but yes I have days where I'm towing all day. But that second speed takes care of it

K&N sells a kit that uses a new smoother flowing intake tube, but utilizes the factory box, and has a drop-in filter (I think un-oiled option?) that fits into the OEM box. Keeping the OEM box, you're dealing with a sealed container, that pulls its air from the outer fender. The filter they use for this is more of an open-cone than what comes with that kit, so I'm assuming it offers better airflow than the little cone.

I wouldn't use an oiled filter on these trucks.
I wouldn't use a kit that used an un-sealed "baffle" between the heat of the engine and the filter.

Generally though, those kits are more for appearance than performance. And some of the Toyo/Lex dyno tests I've watched on YouTube clearly show a loss of power using these kits.

Slow as F but I’m happy so far. Plenty left to do.

I can’t get a good photo of the RedArc tow pro elite but it’s mounted solid on a factory bolt and tucked away behind the integration relay. That part came out fantastic. And the knob is pretty great too.

The gas is definitely a big difference it used to take me a half a tank to drive to Biloxi, now I could do it about a quarter tank.

The 2022 definitely debuted with a clutch fan to much derision from the (new) fan boys (no pun intended). “Noisy” and “archaic” were the comments.

Just finished the standard interior led upgrade tonight. Still need to do the key ring, footwell, glovebox, cig lighter though. I wanted to experiment with "ice blue" so I added that to the T5 bulbs on the hvac controls. The bright white cluster is an upgrade but feels a bit boring tbh--may end up getting ice blue T10s to throw in there to maybe mix it up and see how it looks. Also need to find an led equivalent to the infamous D light that always goes out.

I like the blue. The d light is the same as the random smaller light on the right of the gauge cluster IIRC

Yes, you will recover lost HP with an electric fan (sometimes even a very noticeable HP recovery), but you will always loose out on the better cooling efficiency of a mechanical fan.
