They seem to be doing well so far. Time will tell. Truthfully, I don’t think any LCA except specialty ones will last 1/2 as long as OEM.

Yep. Luckily Amazon is an authorized dealer for Aisin as long as it’s shipped and sold by them. Normally others here get theirs from Rockauto. If you do buy from Amazon, always check if they’re an authorized dealer or may be getting counterfeit parts.

Edit: Although, on second thought, it’s probably not a good idea because identical parts from different storefronts may get stored in the same bin. Which implies it’s a possibility they could be stored with counterfeits.

Good. Best to not use Amazon if you don’t have to anyway.

As long as the part number you got ends in -021 and not -001 you're golden. The '-001' kit lacks a few of the pieces, I think a pulley or two.

    Yes.

It's stupid because the OEM bushings are like $80-100 last I checked. I recall them being on sale for $60-70 if you get lucky. It just seems stupid to me because the bushings cost about 40% of what you'll pay for new OEM arms that have the bushings pre-pressed.

With just 91K on my 2005, I will have to watch out for this ball joint replacement issue. Second belt will go in at 100K.

Radiator, cap, hoses and thermostat are typically done at the same time.

I installed Mevotech LCAs on my 03 back in May 2023. They were sloppy and cracked when I went to replace my CV axles last month. I just replaced with OEM LCAs that I got 25% off, no tax, and free shipping (came out to $380 total) from Serra Toyota. I immediately felt the difference in ride quality, so I can also second the thumbs down on Mevotech LCAs. This is an OEM or poly upgrade part only for me.

We could’ve told you to avoid Mevotech like the plague. I was one of the first people to experience how bad they were years back. Only got two years out of the bushings before they tore and I couldn’t get a proper alignment.

Wish I had known, for some reason I vaguely remember reading on here that someone else had Mevotechs with no problems, so I think that's why I went with them. Oh well, you live and you learn. Glad to be back with OEMs, they are stout.

Sorry, but maybe that info was given after less than 2 years of ownership.

I think a lot of the problem is the “CHUBBER” they use. I love someone made a portmanteau for Chinese Rubber. But apparently it has lots of issues.

It may also be the confusion that Mevotech also rebrands SPC arms as their own. They have a few different quality levels, and I’m sure more than one is a rebrand of another manufacturer.

I’m gonna guess the first letter(s) of the part number are probably an indication of the actual manufacturer.
