Favorite bourbon/ whiskey...

Hmm.. my local DABS opens them and writes on all the boxes what the letters are, because that seems to be the primary reason people buy blantons. We can see all the open larger boxes full of small boxes when we walk through. On those mornings they will go through it all and I've never seen anyone, nor have I been given s bottle without a box and a bag.

This is crazy...

I stand corrected. For the single barrel gold we ordered, we did receive a box and a bag for every bottle. Because it was a single barrel selection I assume it was packaged differently. Bag is also black in color. Not brown.

 

Why is there a sazerac label on it???

McKenna 10 is now on the shelf most of the time in my area.

 

What would you recommend if I like a makers but want something a little nicer. I’ve had redbreast, stag things like that

Basil Hayden's is big on Carmel
Woodford dbl Oaked is easy going
Love the peerless rye

all of the above shouldn't be hard to find.

I agree, it is good stuff. They had about a dozen bottles that they were selling for $45... I almost grabbed a few more

 

What whellers I’ve seen the 107v

 

Blantons is good but for 100 bucks I would pass however I’m not crazy into buffalo trace

 

Had a crazy good quarter, so for the last night out in Phoenix I treated myself.

 

Weller antique is the 107

weller 12 year is the star of that lineup imho. Black label.

As for Weller, the 12 at retail is damn solid. Same with Full Proof. But ya gotta like wheaters. And if you do, my favorite to date was Makers BEP. I do have a bottle of their Lost Stave series, Mocha. That bottle has really opened up a lot.
