Periodically the head unit / radio will just cutoff/black out. This is the OEM radio. I can’t find a consistent pattern. It happens with just the radio, GPS or direct data port playing IHeart etc. It will go weeks without an incident, and then sometimes it can happen multiple times in a week. It does not come back on its own, only solution is to cut off and on the truck. I’ve searched several forums and the web with no other examples at all. The next time I get the oil changed I’m going to check with the dealer but you know how that goes, we couldn’t reproduce the problem.
    Thanks for any input.

I have an iPhone but no AirPods. This screen just blacks out, the on/off doesn’t do anything. It won’t comeback unless I actually turn the truck off and restart to get it back up.

I would rather not change it out.

I had this issue. Would reboot specifically during a call. After a bunch of trial and error, turns out if I have my phone paired, and delete all of my saved Bluetooth connections. Issue is gone.
    Might be worth a try.
