Yeah, should have been put down long before she suffered. I'm sorry, man. I really am.

Thanks. It really tore that family up and never recovered. She was the youngest of four kids.

Kinda apples and oranges here due to you most likely flying in pressurized planes but let's assume you are flying in an unpressurized plane....one that is definitely going to crash....

    I guarantee you'd want a parachute!

People that are attacked or witness an innocent being attacked do two things: pray to God and wish they had a gun!

I read on another forum how someone's mother-in-law, cousin or something walked outside into her yard and was attacked by four pitbulls running loose. The injuries she sustained to her arms and legs will more-or-less be impossible to fully recover from. I wish she had been armed!

That last one made me laugh. Before I started losing weight I'd unholster and put my pistol on the counter at the nurse's station when it was time to weigh in. No one batted an eye.

Very pro gun place....nurse mentioned that they had guns in the office.

    ****
I haven't been carrying in the house since the day I started this thread about it. Give me a minute! OK, .38 in pocket holster!

I was just toying with the idea when I started this thread....of course that got a whole sea of responses....which is fine as I love discussion.

I may keep experimenting with home carry or I may try to stage a .38 in a pocket holster that I can throw on whenever I approach a door. Trying to put a holster onto my belt is just too time consuming. I have enough J-frames to stage in such a way. I'll keep playing with the idea.

I wouldnt wanna be on the catching end of a tomahawk throw either, and i’m not half bad. Probably wouldnt be a problem out near home, but in a city, i’d probably take my hammer back & leave.

A point on the doorbell cameras or any camera for that matter. Looks can be deceiving and additional subjects can be out of camera shot.

I have long wanted a biometic (thumb print) safe by each door with shotgun, AR 15, and handgun inside. Still, door gets rushed, no time to open it.

I must live in a totally different world. i don’t think we have ever removed the keys from any of our vehicles in the past 45 years. Closer to 40 years since the last time we locked any of the doors on the house.

EDIT: that’s not an invite to come over uninvited to try your luck though

I also have a (concealed) pistol on me where ever I go, no exceptions. At home I have a 'nightstand' pistol, an 'under the coffee table' pistol on a magnet, next to my family room chair and a 'under the dinner table' pistol also on a magnet. On those rare occasions when the doorbell rings, NO ONE answers it but me and I'm armed with one of my PDP's, in a 'sticky type' holster that's instantly worn appendix position under a covering. Our Church has a "Mayberry Mentality" about security up here in Ceciltucky but I don't. If I'm wrong, fine, married for 51 years... I'm used to it!:D

I do not carry at home, and since my son has been born; the amount of counter guns and other misc laying around things have been put away in a safe. We have options and they are great if i am in certain rooms, but not others. We are super rural, for Florida at least. So when I am out on property I carry, mostly for timber rattlers and cotton mouths. But its stacked just in case.

Anytime I go to town, I carry. Regardless of where or why. Just the other day we had to stop at the mall for her to do something. Wasnt planned. My mom/aunt where in the mall in Pittsburgh when the shooting started. Since then, I stopped be inconsistent with carrying and just made it a 100%.

Like others, I have deep/daily concealed, Im moving something and need weight concealed, and fuck it... we loud today nearby.

In the home, i have my cameras on a closed loop with my own storage. I can see the perimeter and get notified when someone is coming down the drive. If they get past all of that, we should make it to location x in time.. or at least they will while I do something else.

Long story short, I used to hear gun shots out my window and go, "fuck, get away from the windows." Now its either hunters or people plinking on their land. if it isnt, phone calls start going out and my road comes together.

You're laughing, but my previous Samsung smart TV (which I got only because dumb TVs are not sold anymore, at least at bestbuy) didn't work properly. I started investigating and quickly found it was constantly streaming shitload of data to South Korean servers. My internet link back then was weak on upload speed, the TV overran the link and that caused glitches in TV functionality. Granted, there was a "voice control" option in the settings, which I found later and turned off, and that reduced the amount of data streamed, but what remained still looked like more than just a telemetry.

I've added insane amount of regular expressions to blacklist on my router, only then it started to work as it should. And kept adding them as Samsung introduced new servers.

Fscking 1984. What have we, programmers, done?...

In my new home we bought a dumber smart TV. It does not stream what we say to Korea.

In the future everyone carries a 12 GA to take drones down and EMP generator to clear the area from the devices.

I don't disagree nor am I laughing. A good number of years back I thought it was odd when my wife and I each had our own Spotify accounts my regularly played songs would start popping up in her playlists if we were listening to her Spotify but I was in the same room/vehicle. So we decided to play a game. "Let's talk about being pregnant." We never googled any thing but did talk about being pregnant often. Like- what kinds of baby things we would need, etc etc. Low and behold, she starts getting pop up ads for cribs and baby shit. The tv isn't the main problem. The phones are. Brave New World has entered the chat.

We lost privacy decades ago. I used to worry about it. But now I'm not worried. If "they" want to keep up with my tundra obsessions and porn pics they can have a field day.

    I'm not falling for this.

OP is clearly an FBI agent posing as regular guy, so they can find out what they're up against when they try to take our guns.

    Nice try, pal....

the crepe myrtle one is a monster. Its stout at full strength. The cedar one i’ve been thinking about making a ‘fitted’ head for it, probably out of aluminum. Its a wallhanger cause i could break it into pieces hitting a rock.

the OG. It had a blade & a hook. Not really sure what kinda wood, but its pretty hard & stinks like wet dog when you burn it, just call it stinkwood.
