    Will it show the actual gear you are in or just “D”?

    Jay from Banks here!

    I'm excited to announce that our next wireless iDash Pro firmware update will contain the following PIDs for 2014-2021 Tundras.
    • Current Gear (In addition to PNDR, it will display 1,2,3,4,5,6. I believe iDash Pro will be one of the very few instruments to display actual gear.
    • Torque Converter Status
    • Transmission Fluid Temp
    • Engine Oil Temp
    Target date for the firmware release is the week of April 14.

    @ToyFan

    The fitment here still looks less-than-perfect. This is a recent install @TacCoyote did and so I assume the pod is new stock? If so, should be v2, correct?

    @TacCoyote, did you purchase directly from Banks?

    Monster-Exhaust is indeed in development. Unfortunately, I don't have an update on the Ram-Air intake.

    I will as our Firmware team if actual gear is currently displayed in '22+ Tundras. If it isn't, I'll ensure that it's added in an upcoming firmware update. Stand by...

    The firmware update will be for the iDash Pro, which was released last month. If you're interested in upgrading, please see this link.

    Selected Gear (1,2,3,4,5,6) on 2014-2021 will be included in the iDash Pro firmware release this month. This firmware will come wirelessly. Once you connect the Banks mobile app to the iDash, it will prompt you to update.

    This isn't Tundra specific, but this is an option that I think would work in just about any vehicle that utilizes a dash mount and 1"/20mm ball mounts made by companies like 67 Designs, Ram, Bullet Point, Tackform, etc. It's a solid option for those who don't want to or can't mount their gauge to the A-pillar location.

    I started with a universal 52mm single gauge pod made by Glow Shift (Part #GS-U01B). It's under $20 on Amazon, and the metal construction allows you to bolt a ball mount directly to the back of the pod without issue. The lowest profile ball mount I could find was the 20mm Tackform TF-AR-33. It has a center hole for a 1/4 or 6mm socket head cap screw. The Tackform 20mm ball was $10 on Amazon. Other than that, I added a large fender washer on the inside of the pod and sandwiched a rubber washer of the same size in between the fender washer and pod to keep noise/vibration under control. (The pod also comes with a concave washer for the outside of the pod, as well as an L bracket. You don't need the L bracket but do need the provided concave washer). I added another large rubber washer between the provided concave washer and body of the pod on the outside as well and then added another two rubber washers between the 20mm Tackform ball and the concave washer.

    Other than that, the Banks idash Pro has an outside diameter that is just slightly too small to fit snuggly inside of the gauge pod, so I had to make up that extra space. I had an assortment of Ranger Band branded heavy duty rubber bands (UPC 616450871543) I purchased off of Amazon and used two of the 2" bands around the outside diameter of the idash gauge body. It now fits VERY snug in the gauge pod and isn't going anywhere.

    I searched everywhere to find a gauge pod that would mount to the common Ram style ball mounts that are everywhere these days and was surprised to not find a single option available anywhere, so was forced to make my own. If others like this setup, maybe @ToyFan can convince his guys over at Banks to make their own version?

    @ToyFan

    There seems to be a lot of interest in Banks moving into the intake realm...I'd like to keep my OEM MAF placement and operation, and a lot of the others seem to move or stick it in a larger plenum....which according to Gale is a big no no.

    It's too bad you don't have anything you can run off a head unit.

    Lots of DIY stuff
    It's been a while since I've been on the forum. Unfortunately, I traded my 22 Tundra in for the wife's new 4runner trd pro, but I took the Banks pedal Monster off before we took it in. If anyone is interested, I'll take $175 for it, and I'll take care of shipping. It made a world of difference with the throttle lag. I ran it for about 2000 miles before taking bit off. PM me if anyone has any questions.
