Rear Window Auto Switch

Is there an auto switch for the rear back window (behind the rear seats)? I’ve looked high and low and cannot find one. Just a bunch of threads for relocating the switch. I am not opposed to if needed for this, but do not find necessary. I really miss it from my 16 4R. Thanks!

 

not aware of one, but thats not saying they don't exist.

Crazy mine is auto up and down are you pushing it all the way down and pulling it up all the way?

 

Yup, on the road now, a no go. 65 and up all windows are down. Driver side pad was the first thing I changed when I got this. Just need the rear and I’m set!

 

2018 1794 trim and its not auto up/down on my rear window.

 

Maybe you can mod something like this and see if it works..

I put a 3w module in my 2014, and the door windows are now auto up and down.

 

Looks promising thanks. Where does it install? Close to the switch and specific for that one or a central spot they all run through?

 

Did you buy your truck new or used? Curious if possibly someone added it before you got it.

 

I added the auto up/down windows but not the rear window I did buy my truck used with 24k in 2022 it’s a pain in the ass sometimes because it’s touchy so when you want to go halfway or a quarter you have to hit it again to stop it

That is awesome, thanks for that. Starts at 13:40 for rear and pretty straight forward. This will be the answer unless someone has a switch option like the driver panel.

Plug and play is nice. I do not see any instructions on their site. Any idea exactly where this goes?

 

NVM, found it, weird that it’s not on the product page. They have a separate page under menu for installs. Really simple, looks to take under 5 minutes if that.

I went down this same path about a year ago looking for the same thing of wanting to auto up/down my rear window.

I'd be careful with that seller. They've been mentioned on this forum and are blacklisted.

Good info, thanks for sharing, got some reading to do.

 

Alright, pulled the trigger on KTJO based on ease of install, no splicing, and no removing rear seats / subs to access that rear panel for autoloc. I’m OK with a $40 loss if this goes south like some of those posts. Will report back when done.

I hope it works.
If I had a crewmax with the roll down back window, I would want it to be auto.

My 3W module for my auto up/down door windows also rolls all the windows up when I lock the truck.
That would really be nice to have for the rear window if it can be done..
However, I did have to run a wire from the battery for the module to have power all the time.
I don't think they make the window modules anymore..

If you get it and it works, I’ll be ordering. All my other windows are AUTO after I swapped out the door switch with the cartrimparts one.

 

Definitely test if you can still partially open. Sometimes i dont want it all the way down. Just 1/4 or 1/2 way to let some air through.

OP, I’ve had the KTJO rear window auto unit for about two years now. Yes, I took a chance with a blacklisted seller, but it has worked flawlessly. Easy install, no regrets.

 

Are you still able to roll the window down partially? Or is it one touch down and one touch up only?

 

Both, hold it down for more than a second, and it switches to manual. Small learning curve.
