    x2 on what he said...

Pics of the back of all 4 wheels will help identify, but again, those are just pics and you won't know for sure until you see them in person

Did the tire shop let you return the old tires for a new size?

I do kinda like the gunmetal gray color on these. I'll hafta go take a look at em in person as suggested.

Do the BBS Pro wheels have a unique serial number that I should look for? @COTundra23 @Tripleconpanna

Edit: I took a few pics of the backside of some spare 18's that I have for another user so I'm guessing I'd be looking for the actual "Toyota" stamp too..

Those look like legit TRD Pro wheels. I suspect they have been powder coated or painted flat black. The "Pro" & "BBS-Forged" badges should have a silver/polished appearance.

I’m thinking the may have powder coated all black after 2019 as they did change the lug nuts black after 2019 but not sure.

If you look in the picture you can see that the bbs forged and trd are polished

Regarding excel's thought, the 'BBS forged' and 'Pro' stamps are still in white on the 20s and 21s...

@TacomaTRD4x402 I'm not sure about the inside of the wheels you took a pic of; those are not the same that I have on my '21... Are they from an earlier year Pro??? If not, they may be counterfeit...

The wheels will be stamped with 'PT360-34190' and 'Toyota' underneath that stamp; another stamp is C616; another stamp is 'TY024' and '18x8J60' under that stamp; another stamp of 'JDOT' w/'110' underneath; and the last one is 'BBS' w/'Japan'....

Also, when verifying authenticity, look for the lettering, edges of the wheel, etc to all be 'clean'; counterfeits are often not clear and lack uniformity.

Think about comparing a watch dial of a Rolex to a counterfeit... same concept.

This example is dirty, but the markings are clear... The markings on the back of the wheel you took a pic of where the MEX is... the remaining letters/numbers are hard to read (which could be due to paint or powder coating, but also signs of counterfeit).

It sucks that we have to worry about this now, but waaaay toooo many dealers and owners have been installing these wheels on non-Pros, which has driven the price of these wheels up to a ridiculous price point and has now created a market/opportunity to profit off of counterfeit versions...

Perfect! Thank you for this detailed response. I'll know exactly what to look for if I do decide to go check these out in person.

The picture I posted are from a spare set of 18" takeoffs that I bought a couple years ago. They are these ones...
    20240719_064959.jpg
I did have them powder coated so that's the reason for the not so legible stamps but they are OEM. I currently have the Sport/Platinum 20" wheels on my truck right now that I also powder coated at the same time.
    20250318_145224.jpg
When it's time to replace my tires, my plan is to run the 18" but came across those BBS wheels on FB Marketplace. Guys asking $1900 for them so that's what got me inquiring about them and also saw what they've sold for on here.

I'm sure they are legit, but have been refinished. No knockoff is going to have the etched "BBS Forged" or "Pro." Snag them if you can get them at a good price.

I'm on a laptop though and not phone; not sure if that makes a difference or not :notsure:

As long as you got the info though, that's what matters
