What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Minimal - just had to cut the fins off the front of the wheel well cover and then just shove that inside the bumper.

 

Can anyone recommend decent fog light bezels?

Simple one today. Velcro Molle panel for the passenger visor. Need to find my glow monster patch from @ToyoMafia though.

 

Appreciate it, but I'll pass... The truck isn't a DD and I haven't used the cooled seats much in the past.

Modded the console lid to open further as its always a pain point fighting with it to get to stuff with my seat position.

No sir... It's an overlay that is part of an original AJT kit that I picked up recently from another forum member here. It is my understanding that AJT can no longer produce them after a C&D from Toyota...

 

I ordered it off eBay it's the magnetic charger that holds your phone in place when you use a magsafe case.This bad boy taps into the 12v plug on the rear of the console while allowing it to still function.Its one of my favorite mods.Easy to install, simple wiring and only works when the switch is on.

 

Sorry... are you talking about the whole center console piece that was show in the pic above, or are you talking about pieces within the whole center console piece??

The whole center console piece, I have the AJT kit but can't get it the piece off to even start on the replacement.....

It taps into the 12v wire for the rear center console accessory plug

 

Copy...

Open your center console lid;

Then, using a new or undamaged plastic pry tool, start by popping the corners of the console up that would sit under the console lid (armrest), and then work your way around...

I find it's easiest to slide the tool in under the part that's not normally visible in case in cause any scuffs or damage. Then once the tool is inserted, slide it until it bumps into a 'tab' then twist the tool left or right (rather than trying to pry). Slide it again to the next tab and then twist again. Once you have a couple of tabs 'popped' it's pretty easy to just work your hands around the console and then apply firm stead pressure upward at the tab points to pull it the rest of the way up. Rubber gloves help keep your fingers from slipping as you're working and provide a little more leverage.

Also, note: You will need to remove the shift handle (knob) by unscrewing it counter clockwise to be able to remove the console.

Here is a photo of the underside of the console showing where the yellow tabs are located for reference:



*** This second photo shows were the 3 clips are that sit under the console lid. Easiest to pop one of the two corner ones first...




If that doesn't work, the next easiest one to pop would be the one in the top photo's upper left corner, which is the upper right corner if the console is face down in position.

 

Yea, that's where I am stuck, the backside which is the 3 clips closest to the console is where I am having trouble with.
The top side, I can pop it but then it is stuck where the top is and then I am stuck, again....

 

Weird... If you can get a pry tool in there with a flat but somewhat wide blade, you should be able to twist the tool and pop one of the first clips. They are a bit tight the first time, but will pop with firm but steady pressure...

Another option is to have 2 pry tools, slide one in (leave it in place), then slide the second tool in near the 1st one, move it to where it runs into one of the clips then twist the tool to pop the clip.

Also, the tool goes in easiest a few inches away from a clip (less retention pressure), then once it's in between the plastic, I slide it toward a clip and begin to twist to pop the clip...

Or once you have the tool in, slide it closer to a tab, twist the tool enough to create a small space between the plastic pieces then place your finger tips partially into the opening caused by the tool and pry up with your hands/fingers to pop the clips

 

Removed the decals with rubber eraser to complete debadging process

 

Travis, if you decide you want it, and want to cut it by all means it's yours. I *think* the only difference is the length under the seat, but I could be wrong.

I have that Yota one as I didn't want the newer AJT one. Be prepared to use an exacto knife to trim it a little around the edges. I'm not unhappy with it however.

 

I thought that is a whole sticker, no?
I used a heat gun to get it soft and peel, then goo be gone to get it cleaned up....
