To get my TRD skid to fit, I used Black Aluminum Spacer 3/4" OD X 5/16" ID × 6 from metalspacersonline.com. The OD could be larger but they work fine for me. I bought stainless steel M8 1.25 pitch 60mm bolts and 5/16 galvanized steel spacers (they’re a bit thicker). Pics attached, I also still have my front aero and it works perfectly fine no issues or error messages.

I'm sure this same method could be used with the 3” TRD Lift just measure your sway bar bracket and buy that as a length for the spacer.

appreciate the good info. Truthfully I ordered the spacer set from metalspaceronline that has a whole bunch of different lengths of the 3/4ODx5/16id spacers and a m8 grade 10 bolt kit and just gonna test fit for best Fitment. Thanks for the info on the spacers and appreciate the website. These are literally the same type of spacers that ready lift/icon is selling but you get a better quality spacer in my opinion

Just installed mine last night definitely going to be swapping for a small size spacer but I ended up installing with a 1 1/2 inch spacer with 60mm bolts

It went smoother than I thought to be honest. Grabbed a single can of rustoleum enamel spray paint. Nice little sand down just to smooth it out. From what I heard you don’t need to do that step butttt in my experience with spray painting it is worth the time to prep the surface. Makes an even smooth application. Just make sure to let it fully dry lol I got my finger prints all over mine lol I’ll take a photo later after I adjust my spacers to a smaller set.

Big thanks to everyone in this thread for inspiring me to tackle my skid plate issue! After installing an Eibach suspension kit that provided about a 2.6-inch lift in the front and 2 inches in the rear, I was advised to add a differential drop kit. However, I ran into a problem — my TRD skid plate no longer fit.

Taking inspiration from the original poster, I decided to create a proof of concept using PVC spacers of varying lengths for all 6 bolts. After getting the measurements just right, I reached out to a local machine shop to turn the idea into a finished product. It worked out perfectly! The best part is that I can still use the original factory skid bolts, and the mounting brackets align perfectly, making it easy to remove the skid for oil changes.

I am not a fabricator or reseller; however, I would be happy to help you out so that you can come up with a similar solution.

Has anyone found or fabricated a TRD Skid plate drop kit for the TRD 3" lift kit?

If you use the Toyota TRD sway bar with the Toyota 3 " lift the TRD skid plate will fit fine. Toyota doesn't add the TRD sway bar to the vehicles that they install the 3" lift on. Of course.... So they have to use the drop brackets for the factory base sway bar to fit the 3" lift. Those brackets and the height of that sway bar is why the TRD skid plate won't fit. The added benefit of the TRD sway bar is it will allow more clearance for bigger tires. It really does seem like the complete TRD parts do actually work well together, it's more the case that Toyota sells you an incomplete upgrade forcing you to buy more TRD accessories or fabricate skid plate spacers.

Does the TRD sway bar fit above or below the skid plate? Right now I have the skid plate installed, but the factory sway bar is below it, and I had to bend the skid plate a bit to make that work. And yes, I went up to 275/65/R20s on the original Platinum wheels and they slightly rub the sway bar when I crank it all the way to the left or right. Sounds like the TRD sway bar will fix both problems.

Above. As intended. You should be able to fit 285/65/R20's (34") without any rubbage. After that you need to remove the mudflap, start trimming wheel well liner and think about chopping the cab mount protrusion.

You wouldn't happen to have the part number, would you? I can't find it with a Google search.

I'm sorry. I don't. I had my dealer install it. I saw the part number floating around here where it this sway bar was discussed so a Google search should illuminate it
