Not "eastern Coastal", I said "East Coast", also not "Eastern Seaboard". In my world, and mind you, I'm a fucking nutbag, but "East Coast" refers to anything east of the Missippi and within 6-7 hours drive from of a beach. Doesn't necessarily need to be a "coastal state" to fit the bill.

I know some people consider "East Coast" to be anything from the Appalachian range and east, but honestly, Birmingham AL is truly on the east coast too, as part of the SE USA.

But if you want to get technical, here, Wikipedia has their intepretation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Coast_of_the_United_States

But IIRC, FGV is closer to the coast farther east than I am here in ATL. So ... what's the real dividing line on that? I think Appalachia fits better, as the range "follows up the eastern coast of the USA"

The Tundra didn't get finished at the shop in time, so it looks like I'll be getting it tomorrow. I forgot my work key so it looks like I'll be waiting in the parking lot for an hour while I wait for my wife to pick me up.:annoyed:

    Congrats on your new cat!

I did it in 2023. ~26 hours from Knoxville. It wasn't as miserable as I expected. We took our time so we didn't feel rushed. Oklahoma was prettier than I expected. West Texas is exactly what I expected :D.

I plan to make the trip again eventually. Too much to see out there.

In my mind, if the state is land locked, it ain't coastal

Alerbamer is south coast. Dirty third.
If we went by your standard for East coast, then Texas would be East coast and that wouldn't go over well with Texans lol

What TF do I know? I thought Atlanta was on the coast, given they named it after the ocean.

It's ok bud, I think you're edgy, no need to get riled up over the interpretation of a 'coast'.

Some people probably think only the last 25 miles before the beach is "coast". I think anything in the USA on the last 25% away from a large body of ocean can be considered "coast". I'd say Nevada is a "west coast" state.

But I feel you. It's always bothered me, this is what gets called the "mid-west". Shouldn't Nevada be in the middle of the west? This is the central united states to me. North-central. It was probably the "midwest" in the era after the Louisana Purchase. But not after Texas was Annexed from Mexico, or after Mexico got pressured to cede the land that's now AZ/NM/CA/NV/UT

I mean, it was originally called Terminus, because this is where the railroads ended, and all freight would be carried east to the port of Savannah. Last major stop before the coast.

Gulf of Mexico name should remain the same. Who wants a polluted body of water to be called Gulf of America anyway?

Hey I've got one of those! 10 years old and tiny, weighs just 6 pounds. Since my wife passed away she won't let me out of her sight.

I'd like to know, too. I didn't feel like spending the time researching whether what I use for my driveshaft is the same thing, but their description led me to believe it's not, so I went with what they recommend. That means I'm gonna have a grease gun that's dedicated to those shackle zerks. Which means it'll last me beyond the life of the truck. TC recommends this.

The town I live in was also called Terminus, back in the day. Because...the railroad ended here :D I wonder how many used to be out there?

There are some locals starting up a distillery, and they're going to call it Terminus.

I tracked down a dash rattle in my 03. My climate control was separating from the back of the radio/climate bezel. Some of the plastic had broken and screws were either missing or doing nothing to hold it together. I went thru my stash of random screws and made it work. Hopefully when I leave work on the morning the dash rattles will be gone now. Or at least a noticable reduction.

Totally agree with this. Even as someone who calls the Midwest home. To me, the states surrounding the Great Lakes should be called the Great Lakes region, right? The states immediately west should be the Great Plains. Then comes the Midwest.
    IMG_2126.jpg

Which admittedly still isn’t perfect, both Illinois and Indiana are very much a part of the Great Plains, but the industry that the lakes bring is more important. You could also just call MT/WY/CO/UT the Rocky Mountain states.

How would I go about figuring out which is which on my 06?
I'd rather power the mirror you sent me in the cab than run more crap to my battery than there already is. At least until I get around to making an aux fuse block.
I figure the ACC slot should do the trick. I guess I also need to figure out what fuse to use and grab an add a circuit. I wish I had the harness for the mirror with me now, so I could plan this out. I been putting it off too long and really want to finish it before T2S. I might just have to run it to the battery.

Edit I guess I should check the lid when I get home, maybe they're labeled like the others. :notsure:

Snapped a pic of the 03's for shits n gigs
    20250326_050630.jpg

Maybe I could use that 4wd slot for something in the 03 since it's 2wd.

They were the TYC ones on rockauto. The caps came uninstalled and were just "ready to paint" black. I scuffed them up and Raptor lined them...2 coats. I'm a big fan of Raptor liner...especially for smaller jobs. Turns out really nice and holds better than the other do it yourself type bedliner sprays.

    Noooooo !!!!!!!!!

    Step bit...step bit...step bit..... :)

I did 3 Prinsu racks on Colorado ZR2s. Always use a step bit. It's super easy for a standard bit to grab and pull through and then you have a hole in your headliner...lol. Haven
t read any posts past this one yet...hoped it worked out. For others doing this though...buy a step bit off Amazon...or two.
