    Gid'day Folks!
I became a Toyota fan a few years ago.

Quick back story. I went to look at a vehicle at a Toyota dealership a few years ago, in which I took an Uber that cost $50 to get there. Turns out the vehicle was not as listed in the description. So there I am, standing there and quite pissed. I threw my arms in the air, and said to the guy, in not a very happy voice, "Well, I just spent $50 bucks to get here and I'm standing here like an idiot with no vehicle, so may as well show me what else you got!"
I ended up buying a 2013 Venza which turned out to be best vehicle I ever owned.
I'm doubting my new truck will be able to match the reliability of the venza, but, here's hoping!
I still have the Venza as it still runs like a champ and I didn't really need a new truck right now, but sometimes you just gotta get what you want. Like, who else is going to buy us all a new truck? Only us! Haha

    Welcome from CT
My wife and I looked hard at the Venza, we loved it. Only ended up with the Highlander due to # of passengers.
    Good luck with your truck!

We started with my wife's 2010 Corolla that now has 240K with just basic maintenance. Never has thrown a code.
Got my used Tundra last year and the wife now has a used Highlander.
Hope those go the same way as the Corolla.

I guess I'm an accidental Toyota fan as well. A few years ago, my dad drove a few hundred miles away to buy his brother-in-law's truck. I was expecting him to return in an F150, Silverado, etc. But instead, he returned in a very clean 2006 Tundra. Me, being ignorant about the Tundra thought "That's it? Meh." About a year later, I had to drive his Tundra to work. Right way, a few coworkers and customers saw it and said, "Dude! Is that your Tundra?? That thing is in awesome condition! I wish I would have kept my first gen." So I started researching and found out what a gem my dad actually had. A few months after that, I bought it from him.

    Thanks for the welcome folks.

Ha, keep the corolla, even if bairly drive it. my Venza is almost at 400,000. I thought I had a transmission issue a couple years ago and all mechanics said, "don't worry, you have another couple hundred thousand to go". They were right, the issue disappeared on its own. It seems to get a mind flu bug every one in a while but then gets better after a day or 2. this is with minor maintenance as well. When I got it I told myself I'd keep up on maintenance, I lied to myself. Would be a good sales pitch for Toyota.. "Horrible at remembering to maintain your vehicle? No problem, buy a Toyota!"

I'm heading to Saratoga Springs today. As a Canadian, am I gonna get nasty looks while I'm there? Haha, just kidding, we'll, not really.
