Just what we need is another oil change and octane thread. What I have seen here is people here take these opinions way too seriously, kinda like discussing politics or religion. In the end it's ultimately up to the owner of the vehicle if they elect to run 10K miles on their oil or change it at 5K, 3K or whatever, some say "you're wasting money" etc. or "only run 87 because that's what it's tuned for" vs running 91 or 93 unlocking just a little bit more "tune". As far as "wasting money", it's their money to spend as they see fit.

In the end it's your property to be cared for as the owner sees fit...

No need to change your oil.....it will last as long as the engine does :hattip:

    ^^^Sorry, temporarily distracted.^^^

To quote, and agree with, the OP:

"....it's their money to spend as they see fit.

In the end it's your property to be cared for as the owner sees fit...."

I think that applies to the points raised here and just about every other topic that applies to owning/keeping/maintaining a vehicle.

Everybody has different ideas about what is the "right" way. Are some ways "righter" than others? Sure. Can there be multiple right answers? Absolutely.

In the end, be happy with the decisions you've made, and the money you spent.

(And everyone else can piss off.) :D

Only if you rig is paid for. Otherwise your lender owns it, technically speaking. :boink:

The difference between oil change interval / octane posts and political posts is that the former doesn’t earn you a vacation from Ts.com. That’s OK though, those vacations aren’t all-inclusive, and you don’t get a tan, from what my research shows. I can’t back that up with personal experience, so YMMV, as they say.:D
