How do you like those steps. Mine are sitting in the garage still in the box. Hoping to put them on this weekend.

I really like them, very stout, good grip on the surface, sit nice and close to body, tapered at ends so they don’t look too bulky, and no hanging brackets. They ticked all the boxes, I think you’ll be very happy.

Airbox with K&N Filter, 2" lift on 33's, Alpine iLX-F309 head unit, Pull out bed tool boxes, brown with black trim, rims, etc, black leather interior, matching topper. Muffler delete (too loud..) 62k miles!!!
Gathering up the last of the parts to address some lingering left over issues from the previous owner's spacer lift install. Long story short it looks like the truck went through a couple of iterations for lift. Currently has 2" blocks in it but I found a set of Torch helper leafs in the decked tool boxes. I didn't find all the components so I guess they are MIA. The u-bolts look like they have been off a half dozen times at least and have spots where there is no thread. (I found this by accident troubleshooting the steering wheel "migrating" around while driving). That issue turned out to be both u-bolts were loose and the rear axle was shifted. I addressed that by moving the rear axle to where it was supposed to be and double nutting the u-bolts as a quick fix to get me through winter. I have some nice new beefy 5/8” u-bolts that went in today. The axle was out of alignment again. It’s all buttoned up now and looks and feels great! My only concern is the cheap plastic spacers. They have the hole for the locating pin on the leaf side but no pin for the axle side. I will be swapping those for some metal ones with the proper pin and hole. Also swapping over the other shock in the front end to eibach's and will get it in next week for an alignment.

The paint was already oxidized and showing bare aluminum in many areas. I used steel wool, and took a sander 120grit to bring down to bare aluminum as much as I could. Then just used rustoleum automotive primer and paint. To be honest not sure how long it'll last, but hopefully it'll last for quite some time.

Finished the last 193 miles of the 825 mile trip home. Once again hit 20-30mph head winds. Burned half a tank at 80mph through this but the truck and turbo ran great. Coolant was 198* and trans was 180*. Going to up the boost this weekend.

Anyone got recommendations on power inverters and cell boosters?

Sorry to hear about your dad. Mine passed in '15 and left his '05 F150 to me. That truck meant way more to me than I was willing to admit. Unfortunately the frame rot on it has already left the entire bottom frame rail gone. Mt uncle and I ended up cleaning it up, putting frame caps on it, and welding. Kept it until the frame broke above the rear wheel in '23.

I say all that to say this, check that frame thoroughly. Clean off any rust ya can w a grinder, spot paint as needed, and apply a lanolin undercoating product annually. This will keep that bad boy going for many more years

My goal was to pass his truck and boat to my boy. Obv the truck is gone now, so we'll help him get a truck to go w Papas boat

Got it packed up and ready to roll out, gonna spend the next 3 days at the creek. Do a lil yakking, a lil cliff jumpin, drown some worms and get hammered by a fire.

Legend has it that there is a bus full of people under that bridge. When I was younger I jumped off this all the time. There are parts of this creek that are so deep divers needed specialized gas mixtures to get down there.

Installed new Bilstein's on my '16 Limited this week.
Searched this forum and found high recommendations for Colton at hotshotoffroad.com and went with it.
Highly recommended!!!! Great customer service, excellent communication and help with small details!

I have 141K on the original shocks, they were mushy and the nose sunk when stopping.
Now, the ride is firm, corners like it's on rails, and the leveling is great.

    Too many mods to come
New 3.0s with the additional bypass tubes needs some clearancing done. Also need to rework the lower shock mount for the larger race series rod ends. Dropping the truck off for the trans and headers later today hopefully all dialed in this week so we can put some miles on this and adjust the tubes and settings.

Double checking that I have everything for my front and rear dif and TC fluid changes. Need to go get a 24mm socket and 10mm hex socket.

Has anyone ever used a drill pump to fill their difs or TC?

I've seen many vids with ppl using a traditional transfer pump on top of the quart of fluid, but I'm not seeing why this won't work

I understand spring is already here, but maybe for the cold weather later in the year.

If you get in your truck and your Carmex is too stiff to come out to the tube, just stick it in the A/C vent for a minute.
Hot air comes out there in when the heat it set to the floor.

You'll have lip relief in no time...

Weekend spring truck stuff. 2 loads to the dump. Then rinsed the tree pollen off. No sense in actually washing right now, it'll be green again in a day or 2.
