The time has come! Scheduled rollback and delivery time to the Toyota shop! :taco::jellydance::kona:

Timing belt, radiator, O2 sensors, front cv axle rubbers, parking brake, tie rod, and alignment. :amen:

I have the battery on charge as I type!

Tuesday I'll have to borrow or rent a pickup truck and pull the Tundra out of the yard and over onto the side street. Rollback owner is not eager to get stuck in the grass.

I'll get the wife to start with pics.

Plan has a minor change. Neighbor coming over tomorrow and we'll tow the Tundra over into the driveway. Will have to move my other truck and trailer out of the way but that's fine.

With that big storm system coming across the US probably should beat the rain and soggy ground.

I got a good charge on the battery and everything looks fine. SO EXCITED TO FINALLY GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!

I've also managed to convince my dad to sell his truck and I'll let him have my (current) truck. I won't be using it anymore and that'll clear up some space.

OK, neighbor came over and she's pulled out of the backyard and into the front driveway. Rollback has a straight shot now, paved surface all the way to the dealership.

    Brakes and steering work. :)

Did a bit more today. Had a look at the tow hook and tie down rings I bought from Ebay that another member here linked. I couldn't get those bolts in my frame loose with just a breaker bar so maybe tomorrow I'll try my 3 foot cheater bar. Anyway, it doesn't look like a hook is correct, so I think I'll go with a tie down ring like some members here suggested was correct.

I also vacuumed out the floor mats and put in the Weathertech floor mats I ordered some months ago. Let's see if I can figure out the pics.

So what do you guys think? I'm not super big on the chrome accents......

Door handle chrome flaking off badly, thinking about replacing those handles with junkyard-sourced OEM but white color handles. What say the hive?

3 out of my 5 are Dorman that were installed over 8 years ago. Assuming that the quality hasn't diminished, that's my vote. Of course, my truck is black so color matching wasn't a concern. However, the single stage white will be the easiest to match.

Today (after more threads to be more sure what the heck I'm doing) I ordered two OEM Toyota front door handles new from Orisman in Richmond and two rear door handles off a 2004 Sequoia that met its end at a junkyard in Texas.

The rear handles aren't the best but they are at least white and better than what's on it now. In time maybe I can do better. The lady on the phone was super sweet. :)

Oh, I had scheduled a local towing outfit to send their rollback truck. Tundra's timing belt appeared (and does seem to be) 201,000 miles old and I was fearful to start it and drive it to the shop. The rollback was to alleviate the risk of a broken timing belt.

Tundra is now at the shop, the rollback ride being a nice one (I went along) and getting probably the only proper maintenance its seen at least since the first owner (I'm the third or fourth).

I have a "build thread" going now. Check it out. :)

    OOHH! Thx.
Yeah, thats a gauranteed way of extending engine life....
Smart to get it done before parts get scarce or pricier [near same diff].

One NOTE: Might consider a fan clutch replacement while Rad out; about $60 part as I recall...

EDIT: Capitol Toyota, SJose, CA...online price [sorry, my bad]
Engine Cooling Fan Clutch - Toyota (16210-50102) $107

If replacing the fan clutch, you may as well replace the fan bracket, since its bearing tends to give out before the actual fan clutch does. It's only an extra $250-350, if memory serves.

your memory is between wishful and reality on this one-..ouch!

    Fan Bracket Assembly | 2UZFE 4.7L V8 | Fitment in Description - Toyota (16307-0F010)

Back when I did my TB/H20 pump/Rad [173k], could barely hear a whisper from it, so I didnt consider it likely.
Good news is that RockAuto has the AISIN version for $108...

I'd definitely opt for the Aisin version you mention that's good for 2000-2009 Tundras w/4.7L, related links: RockAuto, Summit Racing (latter of those two is free ship w/coupon, so they come out within 5% of each other, Summit may be cheaper OTD?)

But I'd add, I just looked and buying the Aisin product in a Toyota box is only $300 shipped, in the middle of my range (no tax from this dealer if you're not in Alabama state, and they free ship over $75):

@Shifty..thanks for reminder of "Toyota box"...ALWAYS compare for AISIN parts prices before buying fr/Toy dealers.

Also worth noting, apparently you can just buy the bearing alone if we go by that parts diagram (16731 in the picture). Which is probably waaaaay cheaper. As long as they haven't changed the design or pulley diameter like they did with the tensioner pulley, you could probably save a lot of effort popping the clutch off, pressing the bearing off, and pressing the new one on. I dunno what's involved with this specific bearing, though.

EDIT: I'm not so sure on the pulley, ordering just the bearing. Pulling from my truck's EPC as an example, the exploded is here: https://toyota-usa.epc-data.com/tundra/uck40/3806/engine/1601/?full

Part number below. But when I look up that part, it doesn't look like an assembled bearing (but it cost like $60-80 so I can't imagine a piece of black steel would be that high?!)

If anyones got the'05-06 FSM, the removal of the fan pulley bracket is shown on pages 'EM-16 & 17'. It will require Rad removal, obviously Fan & clutch, as well as loosen PS pump and AC pump. Not sure, but maybe the Rt side TBPulley cover too... a lot less than TB but I shoulda done w/TB/H20pump jobs...especially since the Aisin unit is $240 less than 'Toyota' unit..

Looking at the exploded view @Shifty posted, it looks like part 16371 is the actual belt pulley?.
Dont know, but maybe a separate item from "Fan Bracket"...

Studying further, is the bearing built-in the pulley?
Would this make the 'FanBracket' just a one piece 'bracket-male pulley boss'? IE no replaceable parts on 'Fan Bracket'?
