Does insomnia one night lead to a good night sleep the next night?

Or does a good night sleep lead to insomnia the next night?

The big debate in my brain right now.

It was preceded by a recap of a project at work that’s on its 7th year (4 years past its original scheduled conclusion) and at least an hour pondering the Fermi paradox.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    Agreed.

Sleep is magical and super-duper healthy to humans.

one could say the most important part of the day.

If I can't sleep well, it takes me 2 days to recover mentally.

    however,
The CPAP has kept me sleeping well since DAY ONE.

Not in my experience. Neither is true for me.

The cat is definitely dead. And alive.
    Wait...wrong paradox.

Fermi's is predicated on the belief that we're actually smart enough to be worth communicating with by alien species that are far more advanced than we are.
To them we're likely just mildly interesting test subjects to be studied.
I mean, we're dumb enough to still work on a project for 7 years that we should have been able to finish in 3, and they could have completed in a day or two.;)

We're not currently able to travel to other star systems. If other civilisations do exist, why should they be that much more advanced than us?

    Re: IPA's

talked with my beer distrib buddy last night.

    1. they are installing all that warehouse automation...are one of you gents in that biz?
    2. the Mexican beer sales are still falling. I wonder if that is some type of economic barometer?
    3. IPA's still suck.

    dunno.

but, he did say that the distrib would absorb any additional costs, as sales are "already challenged"

Terrorism isn't justified as the term.

Someone targets a car and it's terrorism.

someone shoot's up a school and it's gun violence.

One is human, one is not. Seems like a lot of sensationalism is the more appropriate term.

I think it's labeled that due to the coordination of the activity.

I think the previous admin called it "peaceful protesting"?

That’s a lot what got me spinning. These crazy smart scientists seem to make assumptions that by default bypass very real, known limitations (for us humans) so they can circle-nerd-jerk themselves.

Then when they switch hands, they draw conclusions based on human limitations/constructs.

    Dude, pick a strategy.

Or is the strategy to just talk big words and ideas for Youtube clicks…

Any labeling will always be skewed by the authority labeling it. Doesn't make any of the bs acceptable. No matter what color of a tie they wear.

How many of y'all deal with:
    ARIBA
    SAP
    Oracle

I am of a certain vintage, that I have no desire to mettle with them, BUT it seems all of our customers are moving towards them.

The goal is to have the vendors do all of the A/P work for the customer.

    Diabolical.

yes, I screw up our on-boarding about half the time.
