That’s a monster for a rotohammer. It’s also an older model that doesn’t have some of the newer features for anti-vibration and adaptation to work with HEPA dust extraction.
The problem is that using a rotohammer (even a big one like that) for demolition is a significant compromise over an actual demolition hammer. And it’s also pretty rare you’ll ever really need a rotohammer that size for most “home” jobs (and it can be difficult to maneuver for more “normal” size needs).

I would personally look at something like an SDS-PLUS hammer if you think you need a true “home job” rotohammer (better than a 1/2” hammer-drill), and then rent a real demolition hammer for busting up concrete.

Appreciate the responses. So the jobs I'm lookin at doing here at home are rather small and are really just mostly breaking up concrete. @RobertD also suggested a hammer only tool and between him and what you guys are saying, I am leaning more towards a hammer only tool now. I always seem to lean more toward Milwaukee for these sorts of power tools, mainly for the convenience of portability(plus I'm already invested in red). I hadn't thought about rental like @Mater suggested. This is just gonna be a 1 n done job so I may lean that direction rather then throwin that much money into a tool I'll rarely ever use.
Here's a few pictures of what I'm looking at to demo..

I wouldn't even bother buying a tool for that work. Go to the local home depot and rent a jackhammer. You'll be through all that in an hour.

Just saying.. the smaller hammer from HF is like $200 less right now than the tool you linked. Decisions decisions..

I've used and abused that exact tool a lot. And it has never skipped a beat. Plus it's red if that matters to all the Milwaukee fanboys.

Yeah - 1 day rental of a decent 120V demo hammer and that shit will be pieces you can wheelbarrow out to the truck. You might even get away with 4 hour rental. Save the money for a tool you’ll use.

In 20 years I’ve never needed to use one enough times to justify even a HF one. I’ve probably spent $100 on rentals in the past 20 years total

I am too stupid to understand this, plus, it was too early when I was looking at it....

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...ge_rr-_-n/a-_-0-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a
This was $349 for 2 tools yesterday (I think?) Today is $499 for two tools.

    But...
    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...mpact-Socket-Set-2967-22-49-66-6805/333076266
Is also $499 for 1 tool + 2x5.0 ah batteries + charger, and also $499 for 1 tool + 2x5.0 ah batteries + charger PLUS 36 pcs impact socket set (those are 3/8)

    BUT....
It can also be had if you just do the 1 tool + 2x5.0 ah batteries + charger + 1/2 sock set (31 pcs), and still $499.....
I know I failed my high school and middle school math, but I didn't think it was this bad....

I just realized that I have this set....1/4 inch, but I don't own any 1/4 inch tools.
Does anyone have a link for 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch or to 1/2 inch adapter?

Went on my lunch break and picked up the 23lb. Unfortunately they said they aren't able to stack the sales which is kind of a bummer. I was hoping to walk out of there with a $200 demo hammer :(
Total with a chisel came out to $272. Gonna go bust up someones concrete for $72 to make it right :D

    UPDATE: SOLD
I put this ensemble together for my son but the M12 stuff is going to be more his style. Everything is new and unused never charged $100 each tool or $500 for the entire set (5 tools + charger and 2 batteries)

Let me know what you think or if you're interested. I'd like to sell the whole set if possible.

Well damn, Today was one of those not so great at making good financial decisions kinda day. Started the day with zero jack hammers and ended the day with...
    20250320_185209.jpg

Anybody else blackout and wake up with "unnecessary tool purchases" like @Mater put it?

Couldn't pass up the 40% off on the Hercules deal but I also wanted to have something a bit lighter and portable. Gave the Milwaukee a go on a small piece of concrete and it seems like it gonna make the job pretty easy. Neighbors are gonna be pissed for a bit but oh well.
If I end up not using the Hercules, I may just sell it on OfferUp n Marketplace but we'll see though.

They make it nice when in a tight spot. Sometimes you just can't spin a tubing cutter very easy.

Why not return the Hercules to the store and get back 100%?
Is the Milwaukee SDS Plus or Max? I have a corded Plus and while it can do concrete demo work, it’s very undersized and Max is the way to go.

I tried returning it just before going and picking up the Milwaukee but they wanted to charge me a 20% restocking fee(I think it was 20%) a bit ridiculous considering I had just bought it a few hours earlier but it's okay if I do sell it, I could probably sell it for a lil more then what I actually paid for it since I got it at 40% off.
The Milwaukee is SDS Plus which yeah, it's smaller but it'll serve my purpose for now. The Hercules is SDS Max so maybe I'll end up keeping it.

Sometimes folks find any excuse to get a new tool, I'm certainly guilty of that. But yea, this is 120V demo is something I would have rented for that job. My space for tools is getting limited, so I pick and choose these days. Things like this I don't want to store forever.
