If you've ever spent time over there you know exactly what I'm talking about. The most mindless drivel that would just drive me nuts and make me wonder how certain people have even lived this long.

My dad sends me this pic the other day.
Apparently, he bought another S2000.
2 of them have under 30k original miles.
I think this brings his total to 6 that he has owned.
The best one was a white one that he ought for my mom as a surprise. She loved that car. She does not give a shit about cars but she loved that one. Then one day a guy flagged my dad down in a parking lot and started asking him about the car. It was just him and my mom was not there. The guy said, "man, I've been looking for a white, low mileage S2000 forever." How much? My dad threw out a fuck off number. It was pretty close to double what he paid for it. If I remember right it was like $65k. And the guy says, "can you meet me at the bank?" So, my dad calls me and says, "hey can you pick me up and bring me home?" He tells me the story and I was like, no way buddy. I am not getting in the middle of this one. Needless to say my mom was pissed. So, now he keeps buying these things so she can always have a "new" one. LOL.

 

Think I have 5-6 hrs YTD

 

I have an uncle that raced one of those in autocross. The motor was tuned, race suspension, the works. It was a wicked fun ride.

 

Even in stock form they are an absolute blast to drive. It's like a go cart. My dad used to have a vacation house on the northern CA coast that we would use pretty much whenever we wanted. I drove the S2000 home from there one morning very, very early. What would normally be a 4 hour drive took 2.5. Railing that car down Hwy 1 at speeds that would have put me in jail instantly is still something I regularly re-live.
