I've been thinking of getting a set of those, and you just convinced me to pull the trigger. Did you order them through a dealership, or directly from a website?

 

I ordered it through ebay Toyota dealership. Check through your local dealership and see if it's any cheaper.

Also, I shopped around online through several dealerships, but the shipping was crazy high.

I did install the OEM ones, and to be honest given that they would only protect from coffee stains, I have been underwhelmed . Thus have been looking for something offering a more substantial protections. Found the Bushwackers ones which double as rocker panels protectors.

Does anyone wishes to share their experience with them?

 

They look nice, but my concern would be dirt or water getting in between the plastic and possibly causing rust issues in the long run.

 

Could filling the cavities with marine silicone prevent this to happen?

 

I am not sure. The only way is to try it out and check back in a few weeks.

 

I have PPF on my sills. Works well and cannot see the film. Probably more expensive than these options, but shouldn't be too bad given the size.

 

That works too. I had them on my previous vehicle and cannot see them.
