Replaced the crankshaft sensor on my 2010 tundra 5.7 today and when to start it up and it would only crank and wouldn't start. Tried putting back in the old sensor to see if it was a bad part and that didn't work. Unplugged the battery and that didn't do anything. Tried google but couldn't find much, anyone have the same problem or got some advice for me?

Is the gauge accurate?? I ask because mine is sometimes inaccurate and stops at a 1/4 tank to empty, when it's actually empty.

Why did you replace the crankshaft position sensor? My 2000 is still on the original at 278k miles. Not a wear part.

That’s valuable information that shouldn’t be left out of a thread like this when started.

It’s possible that the sensor was not the issue, but perhaps the wiring harness leading to it was the problem. The act of replacing it and manipulating the harness may have made it worse. Check all the wires leading to the sensor.

Probably a bent pin on the connector, pin pushed out of connector, wire broke near connector, etc.

That crankshaft wire unites with the camshaft wires. It's more than likely not the sensor. My starter died and I got the code and did the same thing and made no difference. I have a different issue now with failed start, but now I have the Crankshaft code and his camshaft friends codes with it.
It will throw a crankshaft code since the ECU expects the start, yet its not starting and the moving parts are not where they're supposed to be.
Maybe that fuel ECU, not feeding fuel, since it's turning over. Check your spark plugs, maybe even swap coil 1 with any other coil. I'd do this 1 at a time in case you solve it, you have an idea where the issue is.
