Need help identifying the plastic piece that holds the tailgate latch rod in line (not the retainer clips). Tried searching everywhere with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. its a 2013 model. See attached pic, thanks in advance

Check the link that I posted. It should let you order from there. It is a Toyota dealership. (It should be for a 2013 Platinum, but it might make you fill in the vehicle again).

Thanks brother, I was able to order from my local dealer for pick up. should have it in a couple of days. I could not find a parts diagram for the tailgate that showed that part untill you sent that one. Much appreciated

This is perfect advice. Just a note to say though, 69749 is the parts category (Type: "clip"), 34010 is the part identifier in that category. Put the two together, and you've got the full part number, which you clearly linked.

You definitely pointed to the right part, but I'd include this. While the post I'm about to link is technically content for 1st gen Tundras, the plastic clippy part numbers inside the following post are also correct for 2nd gen Tundras @HGSFL or whoever else needs it:

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/1st...ir-overhaul-beef-up-lube-you-lazy-sods.94180/

And the advice inside the post I linked - generally speaking - is applicable to ALL Tundras. Everyone needs to periodically service your tailgate mechanisms to avoid breaking handles and stuck latches. But in the event anyone else needs to update their plastic clips, all the part numbers are in that linked thread.

I'm running back to the 1st gen world now
