Driving to Carlsbad, NM in 30+mph winds and a monster dust storm. These were taken at 2pm just to give you an idea of how dark the sky was from the dust.

Pan handle was seeing 80mph gusts. Where we were was reported 70 but we didn’t get that. 5.5hrs of fighting it will take its toll and we’ve got another 2hrs to finish. We did lose the road a couple of times which was a bit unnerving.

Take breaks. Better home or destination in one piece, late, than any other alternatives.

White knuckle driving for any period of time is no joke.

Oh we are. Carlsbad is our stop. Our final destination is Greer, AZ. We finally busted through the storm at the NM border and it was a bit eerie looking behind and around us and seeing the wall of the storm. Made it to the hotel and am enjoying a couple of Santa Fe brewing’s finest craft beer. Tomorrow is Carlsbad caverns and then the remaining 5-6hrs to AZ.

Nope. Back to the west side. Old job called and made an offer I couldn’t refuse. Now we’re looking to buy a home in Buckley/Bonney Lake area.

Enjoy tuning that. I've had the vx1000/5i for about a year and finally got sick of the stock HU which just got replaced with a dmx1057xr. Once I get the Morel amp installed inline with the VX to feed the front doors I'll head back down the DSP rabbit hole again.

Ordered shells for my grille and hood bulge. Kinda concerned with how they fit up and if there will be any noticeable “edges/lips”. Anyone ordered from chromestoppers.com been happy with results?

Did this. Fluid looks decent but I'm the second owner and this gives me peace of mind.

Edit:new fluid is more pink. So I'm glad I did it.

Also doing an almost full fluid exchange on my transmission when all the cooler parts come in.

New brake pads all around and rotors in front. Hawk LTS pads. Hawk super duty rotors. Haven't bedded in yet so don't know how they really feel. Did LTS pads on 4Runner earlier this week and it stops awesome but 4Runner stopped pretty good before too.

I got the aluminum with lid version. I have 3 dogs and a kid on the way so I wanted to keep them covered if possible. Install was easy enough with provided directions. took 1.5 hours max.

Went into the Francis Marion National Forest today (outside of Charleston, SC), touring some of the hundreds of miles of forestry roads. Fun time, saw some doe, and a few turkeys. Cane Gully forestry road (not to be confused with Cane Gully Road, which is paved and right outside of the forest) had some really nice mud holes.

Just checked those out and they look awesome!

What options did you go with?[/QUOTE]

I went with the DOM tubing, tig welded, 0 degree with top plates! It took three months. I got them on the Black Friday sale but it was worth the wait. Extremely high quality!

putting a bottle opener there is about as appealing as having one in the sole of my flipflop. the kind of shit that's going to be exposed to is not what I want anywhere near the open end of my bottle of beer.

But they are really nice looking sliders.
