Official Let’s see the 2022+ midnight black metallic trucks

Is that the new "Midnight Purple Metallic" MPM? Certainly looks purple. The blue flecks in the MBM would be hard to recreate. Gloss black might be a better choice for the overlay??

 

Im also receiving a little bit of blame that my truck is the issue which I find a little funny. I’m trying to come at it very amicable and I have a lot of flexibility so I’m sure we can work something out. EC1 has been pretty responsive and open to negotiation on how to remedy right now. I have faith until I don’t.

I’m not an expert on paint by any means but I’m wondering if there is instead an issue with the materials used for the overlay? Mine shines brown when in direct sunlight and it’s almost translucent seeming. I suppose paint could have that effect also.

When it’s the summer I’m sure it’s going to be really bad. If they can’t remedy I will have to replace. I’m jealous of the users with great looking matching!

I am curious about the moustache on your SR5, is it gloss black or is it painted MBM (just wondering if there are metal flakes).

I am going to paint mine gloss black soon so it can look like yours!

 

it’s a standard sr5 trd off road here in Canada. I added the Bumpershellz covers ordered painted to match. It is midnight black metallic the same as the truck. It made a huge difference as I hate chrome.

Considering chrome delete on the front grill surround. I ordered the black digital camo that comes on the TRD Pro for the fog light bezel.

Adding to the collective here with a new to me '23.


I initially landed on Magnetic grey Metallic as I felt it highlighted the body lines a bit more, but circumstance led me to an absolute prestine example that helped sway me back to black.

Couldn't be more happy to the choice to go MBM after taking delivery though!

 

Traded in my ‘22 Blueprint DC TRD OR today for this beauty, 2025 Limited CM TRD OR. Couldn’t be happier. Came completely blacked out.

Traded in an access Tacoma for this 25 SR5 w/ SX package. I needed something bigger and safer. Immediately ripped off the SX stickers. Plan on doing a heritage grill, and patiently waiting for a KDma or OTT equivalent tune. Then maybe charge pipes and intakes.. Love the truck so far.

 

Hey man, excuse my ignorance as I just got a new Tundra but what setting or how do you get the headlights to light up like that? Or do you have aftermarket headlights? Thanks!

You mean the yellow/orange fog lights? I am talking about the headlights LED strips of light in the picture. Sorry for confusion.

 

Flip the stem to park lights I believe that’s what I have going on there.

 

Because new wheels are not in the budget at the moment, and I'm slowly trying to dechrome the truck, figured this was a no brainer. I had Konig Hypergrams on my GTI and I loved the bronze look, going to give the DipYourCar wheel kit a go. Color, not the wheel itself.

I've been looking for more bronze with MBM pictures! I'm currently contemplating on the size. I want to keep the stock 20in tires and wear them out, then update to 34 or 35in. My issue is i can't find any great pictures with 20in wheels. They're mainly 17in. with bigger tires, which I understand bigger rubber for better offloading capabilities. I'm looking for OEM+ so keep the 20in. wheel size.

 

I believe those are the OEM projector headlights, versus the OEM LED headlights on yours.
