    Hello all!

I have a 2024 Sequoia SR5 (TRD Sport) and really hated the look of how the exhaust tip is pointed down. The look of the TRD Pro is much better but I believe the tips only comes in black and I prefer polished. After doing some research, it appears the stock muffler on the TRD Pro is actually the same on all other models but without the bulky axle back resonator. I ended up just finding the TRD Pro rear bumper filler and cut out a small portion of the bumper to make it fit. It was fairly easy with a dremel (or just use an oscillating tool).

OEM part needed (sells for about $55):
Filler Rear Bumper Ex (Part Number: 52566-YY010)

Steps to get the filler installed on rear bumper:

    1. Remove the plastic filler on the driver's side by removing the (2) phillips screws and you'll need to also pop off the wiring harness that is held on to the filler piece with a white plastic clip.
    2. Cut out the shape to allow the OEM TRD Pro filler to fit. Just make sure NOT to cut out the top area insert slots on the bumper as it will be needed for the new filler to snap/clip in place.
    3. Pop in the filler and check the fit. If things don't look like it's settled in, you may need to cut more. Always better to cut less then work your way out with additional cutting if needed until it fits perfectly.
    4. Reinstall the (2) phillips screws and zip tie the wiring harness to something to keep it from moving (I just tied it to the closest neighboring wiring harness).
    5. Either buy the OEM TRD Pro tail pipe or do what I did and have your local muffler shop perform a resonator delete and install your tips of choice with a Y pipe (purchased on Amazon).

OEM TRD Pro Tail Pipe (Part Number: PT226-OC230)

    or:

    Exhaust Tips: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D7BC9QP5?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I would rate this as a 3-out-of-10 difficulty level and most of you DIY folks should be able to do this with ease.

Overall, I'm very happy with the look and sound. It's slightly louder by a notch over stock but it does have a slightly meaner growl at both start up and when hitting the gas. No drone when driving on the freeway either.

Hope this helps if anyone is interested in doing this. Here's some before and after pics:

Looks very clean. The black tips on mine are already looking dull and I tried cleaning them recently. It must be a crappy coating Toyota puts on them since the TRD exhaust I had on my 4Runner did the same thing. At least you can polish those if they become tarnished or dirty.

Thanks! That's a bummer about the OEM coating quality. I also decided to not weld the tips on and just use the clamps in case I want to just swap them out with something else.
