    Hello to all,

Since I'm not a paint & body auto shop guy, seeking your opinions.

i bare clipped a wooden pole at my ranch. See pics. No indentations or deformity damage, just loss of about 3/4" paint & prob surrounding clear coat.

Since this wheel well piece can be taken off by removing 3-4 screws, I was thinking of just undoing screws & taking it somewhere. Would is there any type of rubber mounding or similar btw the wheel well piece and main body of car that by removing would cause more problems?

The other option would be to neutralize the outer rust, and try touching up myself. Are their kits for this that wk well? Would i need to get Toyota paint or can it be matched?

    Other options?

    Thabk you very muxh,
    tstex

Get a paint pen from Amazon and no one will ever notice. After a while you won’t either. :)

When i went to YouTube to get some ideas, they did the paint restoration over real metal and show how to remove the rust first. Didn't think of that, thanks.

Toyota has some quality control issues but thankfully rust on plastic isn't one of them yet!

It's there.. white sticker on the B pillar (not the door); second line from the bottom, immediately below the bar code. Now that you know the code, go back and check - you will see it.

I had similar damage- it’s easy to pull off the whole fender flare and prep+ paint. I found a local auto paint shop that mixed up a color matched rattle can for me for $14.99. Came out as good as new, although my flares are gloss black, not color matched to body.
