will a new leaf spring pack eliminate bed bounce?

    3" Suspension lift 18" method roost 35x12.5x18 ridge grapplers 2020 sequoia LED headlights
    So, current set up is. bilstein 5160s, +2 aftermarket shakles.
    18x9 with 35" tires.

    I am experiencing "bed bounce" at highway speeds, very harmonic and predictable, around 60-70mph. no load. But I experience it less when loaded.

    I am currently re-doing my suspension and already have king 2.5's in hand and planning on getting some new bumpstops soon but what about leaf springs? would a new leaf pack help what I am experiencing? a new whole leaf pack for around $1k or add a leaf for a few hundrered.

    I am doing the work my self and a whole new leaf pack seams easier than an add a leaf, based off yourube university.

    Next to impossible to eliminate bed bounce. The 2nd Gen Tundra rear leaf configuration is trapezoidal which doesn't help at all.

    So when folks use lifted coilovers up front, spring rate is almost always increased=stiffer. Rear leafs on Tundras are already on the weak side and the rear suspension with stock leafs no longer matches spring rate of the newly lifted front, which can be exacerbated by lifting the rear with blocks or shackles. This can make it feel a bit wonky with front/rear mismatched and also contribute to the bounce. Stock leafs were never meant to control the larger and heavier tires most of us install either.

    I experienced this when I lifted my truck and then I installed RAS (active suspension) which helps support the rear leafs. RAS firmed it up, lifts the rear 1-1.5 inches depending on how you set it and it had the rear suspension "better matched" to the lifted front suspension. All around drivability and ride improved, much more planted and no bed bounce. RAS does not negatively impact the ride like a block, add a leaf, air bag, etc.

    New lifted leafs may help you but if your leafs are not sagged I would probably remove shackles and use RAS instead. If your leafs are sagging and weak then get new ones, custom with the amount of lift you need.

    Doublecabs usually experience bed bounce worst than crews. Hope this helps.

    makes perfect sense with my current set up and being a double cab.

    so im planning on going back to stock shackles, new leaf pack, and if needed add the RAS active suspension.

    Question about the RAS setup, does it affect ground clearance or suspension articulation?

    I don't have bed bounce. Thick Rhino liner and Leer cap. 5100 in front, OME in rear, stock springs, 33" LT range E tires.

    No impact on ground clearance, sits on top of leafs. Could help with departure angle and clearance for larger tires as it does lift the rear a bit. Based on its design I would not think it would change articulation though I have never heard or seen of any reviews or testing on articulation with RAS.
