Welp, just happened to me too now today. Took it to the dealer and they said they can’t do anything about it to take it to a 4wheel drive aftermarket shop.

At least they didn't total it

    I find this just nuts.

Right? The dealer was ZERO help and I just swung by a local shop who said that there is an access point right next to where the snapped weld is and the nut/bolt. They said that something like that would’ve never happened to the older gen Tundras. I was at about 40ft/lb when it happened too which is wild.

Easy fix. This just blows my mind.

That’s what the 4wd specialty shop said. That since there is an access point, they should be able to figure something out. They said it wasn’t surprising that the dealer didn’t touch it too.

Toyota (or any manufacturer) will never post-production modify the frame of a vehicle. Too much liability. Gotta love those lawyers!!
