I know this may be a long shot, but I am trying to help a friend of mine.

He is from Germany, and has lived here in the US since he was five. His grandfather served in WWII and my friend has a lot of pictures and talks about his family.

Last year or two, his sons friend was in Pennsylvania, and went into a giant flea/antique type sale in a large barn or building.

In the place, he ran across a helmet that was my friend's grandfather! Apparently it had made its way here to the US. We have tried, for two years now, to find out who had the helmet and how to get in touch with them.

My friend's grandfather's name is on the rear inside and is visible for all to see. I don't know if anyone knows of antique places, or who would be willing to help me in this quest, but I know this would be amazing to try and get this to him.

I don't feel comfortable posting his name online, but if you PM me, I will tell you the name. Last we knew it was in PA during a huge sale.

The sons friend asked if they would be interested but then left before hearing back, so now we are trying to uncover. We did call the organizers and they said they would reach out to see if they could find them but that was almost a year ago and we have heard nothing.

Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What part of Pennsylvania was it in?

There are a lot of flea markets and military surplus places in the Poconos.

Made me think of Green Dragon flea Market in Ephrata PA in Lancaster Co. I'll be there this coming Friday, coincidentally.

Thank you both for the response.

It was in the Harrisburg, PA complex area. He said it was a WWII exhibition and had all kinds of vendors.

It could it have been brought by someone from the Poconos or the Green Dragon for sure. Thank you both for the help.
