Buying spacers. Which ones do people prefer? Or it doesn’t matter cause they are about the same.

Both are great. If you’re getting 1.25” spacer, then Spidertrax. Any other size, Bora.

From past expirience, seems spidertrax only slangs 1.25”, but haven’t checked in a while. I’ve got KSP 1.25” spacers on my Tundra, and they are working fine, plus less than half the price.

I gotta set of 1” you can have. Not sure what the manufacturer is. Ran them for 35k miles no issues. Bought them off of a forum member here.

I had 1" Bora on a Tacoma with no issues. I also liked that Bora were black when Spidertrax was bright blue.

@centex, I've also got 1" BORAs at all 4 corners. I still get a little of rubbing on the down pipe, but not nearly what it was before. That's with TRD OR 18s and 275/70 Falkens.

The 1" keeps the treads in the fender, but if you're rubbing badly, the. The 1.25 (at least on the front) is probably what you want.

Key with any of them is that when the manufactures say to clean/prep the surfaces, they are absolutely serious and even the slightest imperfections can cause balancing issues. A wire brush and wire wheel will get you good.

You shouldn't need any new studs or lug nuts. Spidertraxx comes with the bolts and loctite to secure the spacer to your hub and then you'll use your old lug nuts to put the wheel on the spacer.

Used the Spidertraxx for over 50,000 miles and towed a 5000lb camper. Hit some rough spots of road every once in a while causing some jarring and never had an issue. Spacers held up like a champ.

I’m assuming the studs on the spacer for the wheel are the same length as factory? If so then I should be good.

I did not have to. They came ready to run.

From what I've read, everything is good to go unless you are going <=1" spacers on aftermarket wheels, or <1" on OEM. These sizes become issues with possible thread protrusion, causing contact with the wheel. OEM have indents in their castings that allow for clearance. Everything else is ready to install after you clean the hub surface.

I run 2” Bora on the rear of my first gen to clear the rear shocks that are outside of the frame. Nine years and thousands of desert miles without a single issue.

17x8.5” with zero offset. Here’s the fitment with 35x12.50 and fiberglass bedsides, but I have spacers to clear my shocks, not to try to fill the fenders.IMG_6675.jpg

8.5” w/ 0 offset is 4.75” BS. Add the 2” spacer and you’re at 2.75” BS. That’s a lot, usually it’s not recommended to go past 3.5” BS. But as long as you’re at the bare minimum for it to work, and you’re not shredding wheel bearings, let er rip!

I agree and to be clear, I don’t and never would run spacers up front.
