Had to go to the Stealership today, First thing this morning it just seemed to be running a little rough but was something I couldn't put my finger on it. Did some errands around town and had just started home when a 'bell' sounded and a message said to see dealer. The Stealership got it in about 2.5 hours later and said it was a fuel/oxygen sensor. They ordered it, should be in tomorrow.

    Ooof, that's disconcerting.

Hopefully that's all you have to deal with for awhile.

They said this was the first one they had to do with this few miles.

Sensor is easy, & not a big issue, but sucks that it happened. I'm surprised they didn't have one in stock. Keep us up to date.

You got a bad O2 sensor, it happens, not a big deal. And I'm not surprised that they didn't have it stock. If there's one thing I've learned with my Tundra is, almost nothing is in stock and almost everything is on back order. I don't know what Toyota's deal is, but supplying parts for these things is not a strong point.

They said the sensor will be here tomorrow which was today and guess what it didn't come in, the person I talked to when I called this afternoon said maybe tomorrow or next week. Yada Yada Yada.

Sorry you’re going through this. Toyota needs to pull their head out of their ass. I won’t buy another Toyota until they figure it out. My Ford may break, but at least they have the parts to fix it.

Let's be honest about Toyota, they have made some pretty shit cars along the way, but at least they could always set it straight (thinking about the 09 Corolla in my driveway) lately it seems like they couldn't give a half a squirt about customer satisfaction as long as they still have customers

I've been with Toyota 13 years now in service and the parts supply is getting worse and worse. I have a 2015 rav4 here that needs an exhaust manifold and the current ETA is 4/14. Parts are getting harder and harder to come by and it sucks. People are pissed and the parts counter guys are worthless for the most part.

    Bone stock (for now)
My 2024 had a ton of battery corrosion a few months after I bought it. I had to wait a month and a half for the dealer to get a replacement negative battery terminal in stock to swap out. It's weird that the most basic parts are on backorder for so long.

If it happens again it could be oil coming in through the recirculation system.

I called 2 large dealerships looking for replacement inserts for my windshield wipers. Neither one had any in stock. WTF....really?

It was a thing for me. Your mileage might vary.

I ended telling one of the dealers to order a set for me and call me when they were in. Then I ordered a set from an online OEM dealer. The online set was delivered around 2 weeks later, and I haven't heard from the dealership, yet. It's been almost 4 weeks, now.

I've also had 2 warranty repairs, a faulty front camera and a cracked seat panel. In both cases, it required one trip to the dealership for them to diagnose the problem, then a return trip when the parts finally came in 3 weeks later. In total, four 2-hour roundtrips and around 15 hours wasted in the waiting area.

On the bright side, I'm getting to know my service advisor pretty well. LOL

Well I went to my appt. today to get my Oxy sensor installed and after an hour and 25 minutes in the waiting area the Service Advisor came in to tell me they had to put the old one back on as "they" sent the wrong sensor. Ordered, sent the wrong part or the wheel just fell off the wagon I don't care just fix it. He said they will call when it comes in to set up an appt. I ask again if it is safe to drive like it is and he said it is but if the notice comes again to pull over wherever you are and call them. Today has been a week I have not been able to use it and it will probably be another week.
I miss my 2014 Tacoma, it never had to go to the shop for anything.

Got the sensor replaced and all is well. Also got them to turn off the piped in the engine sound and will leave it off.
