That sounds like a sweet bike you are getting. You keep them for the long term so I understand getting they one you want but holy smokes, thats $19575 moose bucks, lets just call it $20k. I had no idea that was even possible.

The KTM / Husky / GasGas bikes are all very similar between the same model. If that makes sense. They are basically the same bike but have different plastics and colors. But, on the KTM's they use the higher end components always. The easiest comparison is KTM's always have the higher end Brembo brakes on the newer models while GasGas and Husky are using Braktec except on their Rockstar or Factory Editions. There are other parts where GasGas and Husky will put the lesser quality stuff on, but that is the easiest example as to why KTM's will be more in general.

Bought an old 99’ clapper PW50 for my 3y/o for Christmas. Took it home and realized it needed way more into it than I thought at first impression. Ended up changing all cables, throttle tube/switch, levers, forks, shocks, plastics/seat/decals, tires, and deleted oil injection. Finished it up last night (for now) so he can see it under the tree on the big day. I wish all bikes were this easy to work on

Picked up my new bike the other day: 2025 KTM 300 XC-W Factory Edition

I immediately swapped plastics, silencer, and added pivoting/lowerings pegs, protective bits, Midwest Mountain Engineering levers, and QuadLock mount & charging head. Waiting for bar ends and matching blue and orange seat from a 2024 KTM Six Days to arrive.

I plan to race in the Silver Kings Hard Enduro race next year, and am really looking forward to having this bike dialed in!

Anyone using a hitch hauler with a spare tire swing out as well? I see moto tote offers an extended hitch bar for added clearance.. My hitch is a bit higher than stock location, now located behind license plate. Hoping to keep the spare tire mounted.. KTM 5004E276676-D90E-4C7B-B905-A606112496C2.jpg

I bet it would work if you got rid of the trasharoo. I know with my versahaul I can put the bike on and angle it a bit off the back with no problems.

Yeah, this was just the best picture I had to show the spare tire and needed clearance.. the trasharoo would be gone. Just hoping the moto tote would allow the bike to clear the spare tire.

Not a full on “dirt bike”, but have been wanting to take my CRF Rally down to our favorite cabin in Tennessee for a while… finally got down last fall. Just light trail riding, mostly on asphalt through the twisty mountain two-lanes… it was a blast !! IMG_4257.jpg

Thinking of buying my first bike (rode quads in my life only.). 2023 gas gas MC250f Factory Edition. Anything I should look out for specifically? Also any good set of ramps for my 5.5 bed?. Thank you!

If you're riding trails and not racing you'll probably be much happier with an EC.

A somewhat local riding hole dried up enough for play. First time I’ve gone riding since late October. I wasn’t quite ready to scratch up the new bike so I took the old bike for a rip.

This "photo" should be a GIF

Just get a reasonably priced on/off road trail bike. Several manufacturers have low dollar small displacement bikes. I don’t hard core off road anymore as I’m just too old for that… but I do love exploring green trails and light off roading when I don’t feel like super cruising on the Wing.

Closest place to me in Field of Dreams in south jersey. They have tracks and a few trails. Then I have a few trails up in the Poconos too.

The MC250F is a really good track bike. If you're going to do the majority of riding on an MX track then it's perfect. If you think you are going to be riding trails more then I would look at something else. If you're wanting to stay with GasGas then the EX250F would be a good option. There are tons of bikes out there that will fit the bill. Just need to figure out what type of riding you'll do the most.
