    I have no experience in them.. I spent hours looking for a cheap grill alternative just like you.. They seem to only make that one in Chrome. I bookmarked it in case my painted grill fails over time. Here is the same thing on Amazon https://goo.gl/XtJG4G

    I found some ones I liked.. Most all of the grill overlays are chrome.. but like I said it allows it to be changed out.. Here is essentially the same thing but with a pattern https://goo.gl/HxBTCg

    is the center piece of the grill easy to swap out? ive done the whole grill replacement, but have not tried only center piece.. any one have any tips or a thread to direct me to?

    Very easy....4 Phillips head screws and clips (probably 8-10?) around the outer edge of the grille center. They slide into slots on the surround. Some of them slide right out, some need coercion from a flathead to push down the part that grabs the surround when its all together
