Appreciate the link, great info... So one would need the HU and the amp: It is not possible to use the existing JBL amplifier with a newer JBL head unit.

    Im tracking now.

Looks Awesome, but, I would rather not spend $1500 on a HU...it was my plan when they were found for like $500+ but I'll be happy enough with the factory...mostly because it's too late :duh:

For those that go to aftermarket, what about the vehicle menu you have on the factory units? Still possible to get there and set things like maintenance reminders and whatnot?

What gives. I dont think this is because I go off-road occassionally... installed may 2022 and have put 30k miles on them

all 4 have these cracks along 60% of the shoulder blocks.

will do, but also more of the cracks. the chunking i can attribute to off roading. all 4 are like this though, even the rears.

You will lose the OE Maintenance reminders with aftermarket...at least, ones illustrated with icons...your CEL will flash for oil changes, but nothing else...

    1. Swapped out chrome pieces for cement pieces.
    2. Discovered Toyota randomly has two different tab systems for their emblems.
    3. Bought an "OEM" and "radar compatible" emblem with the correct tabs on eBay and quickly learned that I was swindled when the PCS light started coming on.
Any suggestions on the best place to buy a legit OEM emblem? I believe the part number that I need is 90975-02159. New grille requires the tab pattern with a single screw rather than the pair of self-destructing grippy washers that came on my 2019 SR5.

What head units support front and rear cameras? I'm picking my 2021 SR5 DCLB up tomorrow and a head unit with front camera support would be nice. Better audio is a plus, what's a good moderate range speaker upgrade? I'm not into crazy good audio but wouldn't mind upgrading. Also any tips for sound dampening?

Is the new Tundra gonna have the JBL system?

I have front and rear facing cameras in my 07 using the kenwood excelon DMX908s headunit.

    IMG_5368.jpg

    IMG_5374.jpg

Front camera is mounted in the front bumper right above where my license plate used to be, and the rear I used a factory tail gate handle replacement from mastertailgaters.com because my truck didn't come with a backup camera.

You should be able to retain the factory backup cam with most new radios if using the proper harnesses.

    IMG_5361.jpg

Also added the vehicle gauges feature with the maestro rr module.

    IMG_5375.jpg

    Congrats btw!!

Depending on how much your wanting to spend, there's tons of options for speakers and amplifiers.

I went crazy and replaced everything with an audiofrog GB series 3 way, audiocontrol D-6.1200 and LC-1.1500 amplifers as well as two 10" alpine S2 subwoofers in a foxacoustics under the backseat ported box.

If you have any idea on how much you might be willing to spend on the system, I could try to give you some recommendations :)

I have this setup too and agree that its enough. The amp/sub made a huge difference and I am very happy with the results.

yeah, I was non-JBL. If you’ve got JBL it’s a much bigger ordeal.

Yeah, the OEM Audio+ setup in my non JBL ‘16 is great. They sell a kit for the JBL trucks, but it’s very different.
