    Dead serious question…

Does anyone know someone who had a career as a grocery store checkout clerk? If you do, I need you to give them a hug from me (unless it violates your restraining order). Thank them for being awesome and apologize that I didn’t recognize it as a complicated skill.

I am so sick of the crayon eaters around here that want $20/hr that cannot scan an item and put it in a bag in the same motion. Tonight, this fucking window-licker had the balls to charge me 8 cents per bag (fucking counted it) when my wife was bagging the groceries cuz that’s beyond his mental capacity and the stuffed animal in his fanny pack isn’t providing enough emotional support.

    Not. Even. Joking.

We specifically shop at the only grocery store that still has baggers.

The decline in grocer checker quality is why I gravitate to the self checkout. My bread doesn't get smashed and I don't have to hope they know to keep the hot stuff away from the frozen stuff, and I am at least as fast as they are when scanning and bagging.

No deal. At the store we go to, you have to bag your own groceries. Half the time they don't bother to ask me if I want to redeem my points for a discount.

I take the stuff out of my cart and put it on the conveyor belt in the correct order so all the heavy stuff is first, bread and other light stuff is last, things that should go together are, etc.

Me too, but the drone will not take them in order. I always sort it on the belt, but it's a 50/50 at best if they are smart enough to catch on. I just do smaller trips and do it myself. Works for my introvert preferences.

I would like to revise one of my previous statements about how much I hate Lunar Rock. It actually looks pretty good on a 3rd gen Tundra. I'm surprised to say it.

    Agree to disagree.

Every time I see a Gen 3 it looks like a Transformer that got stuck.

    You shopping?

A buddy is shopping. As disappointed as I am with the cheap interior of the Ferd, I can't afford to change trucks again. They'd have to give me a straight across trade for me to consider it, and I don't think they would offer me that good of a deal.

Cheap interior? I’ve always thought the Ferds had the better interior. Interesting

The seats are good, but the dash is pretty cheap. All the plastic feels light and flimsy. The edges are pretty rough if you feel them, and any lip that is not in direct sight is unfinished on the back side. I've got a random rattle somewhere and the steering column was separating the day I bought it.

However, the headliner is fantastic. I remember on my Tundra where the liner met the top of the windshield it was just open fabric and foam because it was not visible. The Ferd is finished nicely up there and wraps up around where you can't feel it.

I don't like the headlight shape or the intercooler vents on it. The rest is okay enough, and they look better in person IMO.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    upload_2025-3-7_5-53-12.png

    We passed!

1st- Needs to be said: one cannot come to this thread half-assed, and it's quite the chore to cruise Tundras.com when https://www.bsee.gov/ is breathing down your neck.upload_2025-3-7_6-12-12.png

2nd - I honestly need to report at least 2 Gov agencies to DOGE for complete and utter incompetence/waste.

3rd - I had a conversation with my beer distrib ( south Texas area)buddy & he reports that the mexican brews are starting to show a decline ever since someone locked down the border & started enforcing the DAMN laws. (no word on IPA performance..as if it mattered)

4th - I'm starting to enjoy grape flavored energy drinks.

5th - I'm taking the boat* out, this weekend, for the 1st time this year. I hope that bitch starts. We have a gaggle of college folks coming up for a hootenanny. The wife and I just sit, talk smack, and watch them cook for us.

6th - The Tundra just crossed 118k miles..90k with the S/C. still gets 17mpg avg.

7th - I did our taxes. the only silver lining is....It's nice to know I'm not funding USAID anymore.

Buckle up. The pot stirring has re-commenced.

*about to have the boat ceramic waxed/detailed...what questions should I ask? and how much should it cost? @T-Rex266
