    Looks good.... my only questions are if the satellite radio still works and if there would be issues with those who have manual ac/heat controls because insee the unit takes up that space now

    Also noticed we loose the CD Rom. Now i have to admit i really don't use mine, but the one they sell looks kind of cheap. I am far from an audio person is there an aftermarket that looks better and will work with this?

    Took a pic and emailed them this morning. No, you can't use your xm, have to get an external one according to website. This replaces all heat/a.c. co trolls to make the touch screen.
    As far as CD Rom, no idea on that one. Maybe better off ripping them to mp3s, or where wpuld you mount the external one?

    It has 64gb of memory so you can load it up with music from a Hard drive or thumbdrive. I have been doing a lot of research on why the sound isn't as good as stock and I think the problem is it isn't going through the factory amp. It looks like you have to get a module that allows communication between the aftermarket unit and the factory amp.. I ordered on up and will be at my house when I get home. Hopefully I will have an update Friday night. If I cant get it I am taking it down to a car audio place down the road that I have used a few times with other vehicles.

    I am kind of confused with this question. Do you like the Phoenix radio but would like a CD slot? You don't like the stock deck? You like the look of a CD slot but don't use it? so many questions..

    Hmm, lets see.. I don't currently want a CD, but i noticed that i can buy a cd player from them but it ugly as sin and was wondering if there are any aftermarket cd rom payers that look better in case I need to break out cd movies for my grand kids.. and yes I like the radio a lot. Hope this clarify s a bit.

    Gotcha.. The nice thing about this unit is you can load up movies as well. But as I have stated earlier I am not going to tell anyone to go out and buy this unit until I make sure I get the sound working properly.

    They did have some crazy times up here. I started up here in 2001. My whole career has been on the interventions side, slickline, eline and coil. I worked for Halliburton, Schlumberger and now BP.

    I have many many more questions:

    - Does it work as seamlessly as the factory unit?
    - Does it have it's own built in nav, or does it have to use the phone?
    - Does the turn by turn function in the dash center display still work?
    - Are there ANY factory functions that no longer work? (voice command, steering wheel controls, etc)

    ^ what he said. It looks cool, but not at the expense of functionality. And the price seems cheap compared to other double din high end head units; I’m guessing because it relies on your phone for a lot of functions vs being built in. But, it definitely has the wow factor in looks department

    Same here, just got confirmation of being shipped. Looked up the Tracking number and found out its coming from China. Hopefully we don't have to wait to long....:turtleride:
