    Hey all,

I recently took out a spacer lift on my truck and installed the Icon 2.5 kit.

Before I took the spacer lift out, My truck had zero noises coming from the front end. Everything was in great shape. I got new tires about 6 months ago and got it re-aligned and everything went great.

After installing the Icon's, I now have a clunking noise coming from the front passenger side only when going over bumps. My first thought was ball joints, but since is started immediately after putting the new shocks on, it makes me think that it is something else. Possibly to do with my sway bar? It was a real pain getting the sway bar lined back up and im thinking that could possibly be the noise.

Any recommendations on where to look and or similar problems that you were able to diagnose?

    TIA!

Need some more information. Clunking when? Turning? Straight? Over bumps? High speed? Low speed? Constant? Comes and goes? Maybe even a video with some sound? Have you gone back through your installation and looked over EVERY nut and bolt? Have you checked the LBJs? Tie rods? There's so much...

Just went back and edited. It is only when i go over decent sized bumps. Little bumps, turning, normal driving I get zero noises but the second I go over a speedbump i get the clunking noise.

I am going to go back over everything tonight and re-torque it all. I just saw another post mentioning sway bar end links being loose. I hope that is it.

Just went out to my truck and grabbed onto the sway bar and with just about all my strength I can slightly move the sway bar end link back and forth. Need to go into work this afternoon and re-torque it. Hopefully I didnt cross thread it. It was an extreme PITA to get that bolt back in there.

I'd be very surprised if that's the source of the clunking. But, it's a start.

I too found similar when I installed my Toytec coilovers. I was chasing an elusive clunk, I've just gotten accustomed to it. I thought it was my aftermarket UCA. After re-greasing I feel like it reduced but I still hear it periodically. I'm convinced it's the damn coilovers. Although I know I have a clicking or tapping sound coming from the rear HD leaf pack too.

Swaybar links definitely cause some clunk. I got a bit more reduction in my clunk when I removed mine and the swaybar with it.

If you dont have extended links I'd say that's your issue. Suspension maxx links will do you a lot of good.

And note this is coming from the one guy I know who definitely had the same issue with stock links after a small lift

Yeah I didn't get too in depth with my reply, I bent a set of moog stock size links just from leveling my truck. I'm having a hard time even finding my own post about it at this point.

OPs profile says he’s rolling a 2015. Different sway bar setup than the FGT. Posted in the wrong section if so also.
