Hell yeah! I'll have to relocate the cooler from the back seat to the bed which you will have to help me lift, cause that many beers are heavy.

Probably mormon lake or lake Mary, although there are some cool little lakes northwest of camp towards Williams too

Whitehorse Lake or Sycamore Falls wouldn't be a bad day trip from there either...

    Dunno about OnX.

Except at 7000', so you don't have to drink as much to enjoy fishing

And get winded just getting out of the sleeping bag. And dealing with sunrise at 5:30. Plus I don't fish. I'll enjoy the less beers part though!

Wait... Higher elevation means less beers to get a buzz?

Yeah the 5am sun rise sucked. Last time I never really got acclimated to that and the elivation. Plus I was so generally unhealthy/sleep deprived in 2023, that I was just miserable the whole time. I was popping gummies for back pain, like candy. This year I think things will be much better for me.

I’ve learned from these trips; altitude sickness is a real thing that even tough guys are not immune from, especially if you live at or near sea level, and aren’t going to high elevations on a regular basis. Now I pretty much just plan on feeling ‘not great’ for the first couple days. Then it’s party time.

I can probably handle that now. But in 23... Well you saw how out of shape I was. Didn't help I made the entire trip without sleep, after work. I look forward to getting some hiking in this year. Last time I barely got out of my truck.

Anybody know if Sunny is coming? I know she likes to hike.

A handful of us went to Lake Mary during T2S ‘23. @Voss jumped in for a swim and said it wasn’t that cold. The snow on the ground told a different story.

Question: I don't do FB but I believe that's the platform where the AZ Tundras group is based. Is this event shared with that group, or do we not speak of them here?

The only thing I love more than being on Facebook is being in a Facebook group where all the posts are "what sized tire can I fit..." or "who's our guy for..." over and over and over again.
