    Hi guys,

Very new to this forum and have a troubleshooting question. Attempted to install the beatsonic amp just behind the head unit of my '23 Tundra hybrid w jbl system. Followed instructions to a t via video of TRD Jon video on YouTube. Even tested it out before putting head unit back into dash. My truck then wouldn't start and head lights became glitchy (flashing randomly) i disassembled everything again, removed the amp and put the original connections to head unit again. Everything attached with the positive click. My truck still won't start and lights are on. Any suggestions?

Any chance you disconnected the batteries before the install?

You sure everything is plugged all the way in?

Did not disconnect battery. Looked like a straight forward plug and play. Even when I reconnected original wires I made sure there was a positive click with each connector ( the only connectors i touched were the four on the bottom of the head unit on the passenger side as outlined in the beatsonic instruction video on TRD Jon. When I saw the truck wouldt start I carefully reconnected the original wires....lights were still glitch. Steps wouldn't deploy and the truck wouldn't start. Any help with direction in how to solve is much appreciated

Any chance a pin in one of the connectors got moved out of position during all of this? Something to check.

Did you disconnect the harness on the top of the radio on passenger side by chance?

Hi guys, did not disconnect that harness above the head unit at all. Didn't even touch it as I saw a video stating that removal can trigger error codes. I'm gonna check tomorrow if I moved any pins but I was ultra careful in removal and connection of the harnesses. I reached out to Beatsonic and their response was it sounds like the battery may have low voltage which can trigger an issue like that. Odd as I only picked up the truck two days ago and it only has 23,000 miles (38,000 km) had no issues with startup prior to this.

There's been multiple posts here about batteries that didn't last as long as you would expect, so definitely don't assume the battery isn't the issue.

Have you tested the voltage of your battery? If you didn't disconnect it before working on stuff (which you always should when doing electrical), dome lights, doors being open etc. can all drain the battery. I had similar symptoms with a bad battery and I'd be willing to bet you battery is charged enough for lights to come on but not enough to start. Can test your voltage with a multimeter, or just jump it, drive it around for 15 minutes to charge and then take it to an Autozone, Oreilly's, Advance Auto, Napa etc. and they should do a load test for free.

Im thinking you drained the 12v battery if you took a bit to do the swap. Try jump starting it?

Thanks for the feedback everyone....I'll update you when I get back to it after work today. The truck is set for a visit to the dealership as well as I'm hearing quite a bit of whistling from the drivers side tow mirror that also happens to not telescope anymore.

I think you said you have the beatsonic pulled out.
I certainly would not bring that up to the dealership.
Just play dumb and tell them it wouldn't start and everything else that is going wrong with it.
