Is there any way to increase the flow of the stock power steering pump? Or are there any aftermarket pumps with more power for off-roading?

Interested in making my steering lighter I want it to be light and airy almost like a Lexus.

Lexus uses electronic steering. Your rack and pinion will never feel like that.

Not that directly bolt into our trucks. Change the fluid out add a larger cooler that’s about it for simple options.

Is there an option that doesn’t directly bolt on like an aftermarket option that can be modified? I’m interested in any way to improve this it would make the truck perfect it’s the only thing other than mpgs I would change but I don’t really care that much about mileage

A proper alignment with the correct caster does wonders for steering responsiveness and feel. Or your steering rack may be going out. My wife has a Highlander with electronic steering, and yes, it’s smooth and responsive. But it’s basically a Camry with an suv body on it. My truck on the other hand is leveled with 295/55/20 ATs and it’s not as soft feeling as my wife’s vehicle….but it’s super responsive and steering is by no means a task to do.

You may want to look into if there is an issue, as there is no offerings for bigger pumps or anything like that. Proper suspension and steering geometry is what you need to go after.

Thank you for posting this is good info. I think I read somewhere that you can create a lighter steering feel by adjusting the caster alignment but I can’t recall if it’s more or less caster that does it. Might also have the rack checked out.

Positive caster. These trucks need positive caster. Positive caster is the driving force behind the truck and steering wheel self centering after a turn and tracking straight.

Along with the alignment mentioned above tire pressure also plays a factor and tire type I.e. all terrain, MT etc
