PT983-34310 & PT983-34320 link assemblies have been discontinued. Is there some replacement part I can purchase instead? Or an aftermarket part?

I also cannot find PT302-34310, PT302-34320, PT302-34330 flexible hoses. Are these just the extended brake line hoses?

PT981-34310 RH knuckle is available but the LH PT981-34320 I cannot find. Is there are replacement part for that?

Any parts replace the last 0 with a B (b=bulk).

PT981-3432B Tun Lower Knuc Att Left-hand
PT981-3431B Tun Lower Knuc Att Right-hand

it definitely took time to source the parts. Of all of them I ordered, i actually didn’t use the front stabilizer link. They are a little beefier, but I just didn’t change them yet.
I can say, the OEM parts aren’t impacting anything.

yes, those hoses are the extended brake hoses.

That is very helpful, thank you.

Should I avoid places like oemgenuineparts.com and just buy directly from a dealer? Because they seem to have everything after you showed me the "B" trick on the part number.

I avoided them based on some pretty bad reviews. I did order parts from many different dealers online stores though. I just googled the part number + lowest price and then would scour that sites pricing. I’d kinda mix and match until I got the best price with shipping. I ended up with a like 4 different sites, and in the end, all parts arrived. You’re in UT, I’d avoid AZ sellers, they had same pricing as CA.

    I appreciate your help.

Did you install yourself or have someone else do it? If you had someone do it, about how much did you pay?

A shop installed the parts. I paid $850 in labor. I did Dobinsons IMS coilovers and rear springs though. So, I bought everything on that list except those parts, the rear spacers and grill fog light cover.

I couldn’t get the front spring, which is why I went IMS.

Sorry for the delayed response - haven’t been too active on the forums lately.

I’m in WA with a 10% sales tax so I mainly shop the dealerships in OR. I cross-compare prices so it’s a mix of dealers - Gresham is one I use often. The final price was actually closer to $1300 as I had to buy the extended brake lines via phone since they weren’t in the online catalog.

Cross-shopping dealers and only buying during holiday sales w/ shipping discounts is the way to go. For the complete kit, I was able to get it for $2000 during the Memorial Day sale, so I was hoping to get the extra parts for ~$1000. Even the small stuff like the nuts and bolts really added up quickly, but I wanted to do this the proper way.

I used the parts list from the Toyota installation manual itself - Page 2 (someone shared the link on post #197).

I basically bought everything except the front/rear shocks, springs, spring spacers, bumper covers for the fog lights, sway bar end links, and sway bar spacer. I’ll be installing the TRD Pro sway bar, the end links specific for the Pro sway bar, and the sway bar spacers from the Fox 2.5 kit.

Few things to note for part #s:
    • Silver extended axle part #s: PT362-3431B and PT362-3432B
    • Knuckle attachments: PT981-3431B and PT981-3432B
    • Extended brake lines: PT302-3431B, PT302-3432B, PT302-3433B
    • Castle nut (item #36) part #: 90171-A0014
All three brake lines and one of the knuckle attachments weren’t on the online catalog, so I had to order them via phone. Everything else can be ordered directly on the Toyota parts site. I got most parts so far but there might be a part or two that is back-ordered - I’ll do an inventory check when I get a chance.

The truck will have a slide-in camper on it year-round, so I’ll be running the Dobinson 800-1000 lb load rear springs w/ AirLift 5000s (probably overkill). The goal is to achieve a ~2.5” lift in the front and ~1.5” in the rear with the camper on, so not quite the full 3” lift originally planned with the TRD lift kit.

Check my post #219. Those are exactly the parts I had to order via phone because they aren’t on the online catalog yet for the public.

They’re in the internal parts database though and the parts dept can order it for you over the phone.

Does anyone have a photo of the stock lower ball joint assembly next to the one provided in the TRD lift kit? I went another route with a lift and the turning radius suffered. I'm curious if Toyota addressed that on the turning stops with the newer lower ball joint assembly or if they only provided it to adjust the ball joint angle.

Hey all, I saw the stop sale was finally lifted so I called around to multiple dealerships today to see if they were able to get them and do the install. All the dealerships said they are still unable to get the kit. Has anyone had the same experience?

Actually every part you change the 0 for a B will bring the part?

B is just for "Bulk", so yes, change to a 0 and you have the same part, but non-bulk part number.

Yes! That’s why I eventually just went the route of sourcing myself and using different shocks/springs

I do not have a picture, but I had the same experience. Then I had the shop put the lower knuckle on (I assume this is what you’re referring to) and now turning radius is better than stock.

Even after waiting and then getting fed up and deciding to cobble together my own “kit”, I think it’s better this way. I like how the truck rides better than the TRD kit I test drove.
Happy with my shock/spring of choice so far.

I agree 100%. The 5100s in the kit is decent, but there are far better options. The only major downside was the $$$$. My wallet hurts bad.

Haha. Mine too. It was only $4100 installed and that didn’t include the wheels/tires, but still hurts.

It's crazy to think how that's basically the list price of the TRD lift kit. When done strategically, you could get a far superior setup with all the same benefits that the kit offers - minus the warranty aspect, but that's to be expected.

for sure! With exception to a few actual parts, it’s a lot of pins and bolts.
I’m not knocking the kit, it’s well designed, that is why I copied it. But yeah, there is a lot of fluff in the TRD kit.

    It's not that well designed.

You have a TRD Skid Plate that won't even fit with the TRD 3-inch Suspension Lift Kit installed. That in of itself speaks volumes about what didn't get thought about while it was being designed.

If anyone is in PNW I am selling the TRD 3" kit I recently purchased. Had the struts / springs assembled and took it to dealer to have it installed but ended up trading my truck in for a 25 platinum with the lift from the factory while I was there. I'm in Vancouver WA. Would sell for what I paid plus labor to have the front struts assembled. PM me, also have it listed on FB marketplace.

Meh.. Most aftermarket kits, including Fox 2.5/3.0, use their own version of the sway bar drop; I'll be using their spacers rather than the Toyota ones. The design flaw is inherent to the Tundra itself.

I'm selling my TRD skid plate and getting the Talon's skid plate to accommodate the dropped sway bar.

Did you have to get your truck re-aligned after you changed from the stock to the TRD lower knuckle?

If I were to use Dobinson coil springs for the front and rear and forgo the spacers, what are the different diameters of the springs gonna do for me? I see they list 2" and 3" for the front and 1" and 2" for the rear.

It does if you use the TRD sway bar. It would appear that the TRD lift is designed to be used with the TRD sway bar, and TRD skid plate. It's just that Toyota shorts you the correct sway bar on factory installed lifts. I don't think it's a design issue. Probably the same mentality of why they didn't add tow hooks on the front. To same a few bucks per truck, which aggregates to a sizable savings for themselves knowing they're not going to charge more just for tow hooks.
